The lines are your typical copper nickel. Won't rust, bend easy. The tool, I used on a transmission line that I was trying to flare, but the tool didn't want to stay in place very well. That said, the cutter cut the transmission line just fine. I imagine it would work better on a soft brake line like it came with than the steel transmission line I was using it for. Easy as any to use.

the tubing itself and the fittings are fine, but the kit wears out after only a few tries.if you are making more that 4-5 flares, this will not do well.

This kit has everything you need to replace a hard line. It worked great. excellent value. kept my 1997 Subaru alive.

The Flaring tool is absolutely useless. Broke on 2nd flare. The line is nickle copper which is softer than steel so it definitely would not work with steel lines.

I am not sure how it happened but after doing the 6th flare the 3/16 head bent and then it became a nightmare to do the rest of the flares. It took me three to four tries to do each flare after it bent. Other than the fact that I have a set that is good for any lines except 3/16...

Tubing and fittings are super awesome, tbe tool is a hard 1 though. Dont bother if you can find the just the tubing and fittings alone, the tool really sucks.
