It's great to have some extra hose if you need to run to another machine or just as an extension for cleanup to vacuum up the stray dust. The clear hose is great to see any clogs or items too heavy to make it up to the collector.

Wood dust, chips, shavings, etc. are the waste product most abundant in a woodworking shop. Unless properly handled, they'll pile up on the floor and become a nesting place for small precious parts...More importantly, keeping the dust out of your lungs is mandatory. Minimizing loose woodworking tool debris is a must and dust collectors have come to the rescue. How you connect the dust collectors is with these hoses attached to the exit port of a machine and onto the entry port of the dust collector. But you already knew all that, sorry. There are two things I liked the most with this 10 foot piece of hose. First, it is clear. There is a sense of comfort that comes from seeing the debris go floating by. But better than that, should it develop a clog, you can easily find where it is. And second, the thickness. That extra thickness will ward off holes created by sharp slivers of wood internally or accidental poking externally. I have had hoses that have split for being too thin, especially at the spiral bound wire inside. This hose does have the spiral wiring inside but it is PVC coated which will reduce the tendency for hoses to split at the wire. I have never tried this but the metal wire is touted as a grounding wire to dissipate static electricity when properly grounded. (I'll have to try that...)Another benefit I found is the weight. If you are using a multi-connect system, carrying a heavy hose from one tool to the next is not fun. So the lighter the hose the better. It also has a large compression factor; fully compressed I got it to be 34" long and expanded all of the 10 feet they promise. The inside diameter (ID) is a standard 4" to fit over most outlet ports on machines. That is necessary if you are doing single connections, i.e. permanent. However, most multi-connect systems have the same requirement of a 4" ID hose. Finally, included are a pair of hose clamps, unprecedented for me when buying hose. I always have to buy the clamps separately, if I'm needing them. I suppose that's what sets the hose apart, everything else is available through a multitude of competitors. And, at a fairly average price point, though some name brands are much more expensive, there is no economic advantage. But as a product is warrants the 5 stars.

I got this for fume management on my 3d printer. The quality seems really good but the smell is unbearable. Really heavy plastic smell that hasn't gone away even after two weeks of putting it outside. Probably fine for outdoor or shop use though.

Despite my (apparently wrong) electrical knowledge, the wire does appear to block or slow the generation of static electricity on the tube, once grounded. The non-grounded tube it connected to had a noticeable static charge after a minute of dust collection, and the grounded tube did not.

Pretty good stuff. Does what it's supposed to do. Flexible as it should be. Pretty good.

I’ve been using this TOUA 2.5-inch PVC dust collection hose for my woodworking setup, and it’s been fantastic. The clear PVC material makes it easy to see any blockages, and the reinforced steel wire keeps the hose flexible yet sturdy. It handles heavy-duty tasks without punctures or leaks, and the included clamps made installation quick and secure. Highly recommend this for anyone looking to upgrade their workshop dust collection system.

This ‘Toua 4 Inch x 10 Feet Dust Collection Hose’ is attached to my router table base. It works perfectly as expected. No issues or complaints! I’ve had PVC pipe build static charge in the past, so I grounded the wire wrap as soon as I installed this pipe.I’m super happy. It’s a good value.

I needed some more 4" dust collector hose to have a semi-permanent connection to some tools (up and over hung from the ceiling) so I don't trip on it. This gets the job done, and seems very similar to the hose I already had. It came with hose clamps, which I will use for some areas, but I prefer spring clamps for any connection I may need to unhook more often. But, dust collection is unique to each person's shop and tool layout.
