I guess these are ok. They won't stand for much hammer pressure before they break. Recommend a light rubber mallet in soft dirt !!!

Safety gear while working around vertical rebar. Never can be too safe. Highly recommended for all rebar sizes. I used on 3/8 and 5/8 rebar perfect fit

Too bad I could not just buy a few instead of a large pack, but these worked perfectly to cover two grounding rods in my backyard for kids' safety.

a) The splines broke when I shoved it onto my rebar, and rebar is not too big. These are brittle plastic. So now they just sit loose on my 3/4" diameter spikes. Maybe they won't break for rebar much closer to the optimal size so as not to bend the splines very much.b) If the plastic is this brittle will it actually do its job if someone falls on it? Hmm. Probably?Falls in the category of complete garbage. You had one job...

These ones are brighter orange than the other listings on amazon. Even though the pictures on the other listings look super bright, the caps they sent were like a dull brownish orange. But the color of these caps by S.S. Co are accurate to the photos. I’m going to be buying more of these.

Trying to install them in the mid 30’s, I broke two by taping them down onto the rebar ends with the heel of my hand. The inner ears broke off. And yes, I did grind down the rebar end to a smoother dome type shape. The after running warm water over the rest, the installed without breaking. Hopefully, once installed they won’t break when it gets cold again. Great idea but it needs to molded from a tougher plastic.
