I ordered these because pretty much everything hard to get to on my GMC suburban has a torque head bolt on it for the most part I manage with the sparse few that I have banging around my toolbox but recently I needed to do work on the front seats on my GMC suburban both of them having holes and needed to replace them with newer ones .One of the problems I had was I didn't have any of the larger torque sockets to even attempt to remove them I got out my Giant Chilton's repair manual and found it a size 50 t50 that is torque of which I didn't have so I got on the computer and looked around to see what the name brand sets cost and almost fell off my chair when I found it one torque t50 from snap-on cost $78 .and several of the other name brand companies that were not far from their price when I found these an entire set for less than 25 bucks I couldn't believe all the additional pieces and a blow molded case with individual compartments for each one although the name brand guys will probably argue the point as far as I'm concerned he's with just as good and work just as well as the ones for nearly four times as much they look fantastic with each one having its size engraved on it. Since I received these I have removed the seats installed the new ones and torqued them down to OEM specs. I can honestly and wholeheartedly say that this torque socket set is a good quality easy to use good looking set that is functional and has an extremely fair price tag. I didn't find any irregularities in any of the sockets they appear to be well made all the engraving of printing on them was clear and easy to read I was pretty rough on them and found that nothing wore off it during use and snap securely in the below molded case each one and it's on a little compartment for easy storage

Though I have not used anywhere near all the bits and sockets in the set to date, the ones I have used have been adequate to the task. Each item is well-marked in easy-to-read graphics, and all socket/bit edges seem to be cleanly manufactured.Although I have not placed excessive force on any of the tools, they appear to be robust enough for light- to medium-duty use. The kit provides a reasonably good mix of sizes for the amateur user.Good kit, overall.I will update this review if anything significant develops through extended use.

This product is a set of TORX bits (male tools) and TORX sockets (commonly referred to as E-TORX sockets; female tools). The set consists of 13 TORX bits and 12 E-TORX sockets. The bits and sockets utilize 1/4", 3/8”, and 1/2" drive sockets to drive the tools, dependent upon the size of the specific tool. The TORX bits are made from heat treated S2 alloy steel and they each utilize a dedicated drive socket made of forged chromium-vanadium alloy steel. S2 alloy steel was chosen because it is extremely tough, hard, and has excellent wear resistance. Items made from S2 alloy steel have a tough core and generally will not break or shatter, as the steel retains good ductility even in a hardened condition. The E-TORX sockets are made from forged and heat-treated Chrome-Vanadium alloy steel (CR-V) with a black phosphate finish (and they are lightly oiled after production, as they should be). The Chromium-Vanadium alloy steel used for the E-TORX sockets and the TORX bit dedicated drive sockets is employed for its hardness, tensile strength, toughness, fine-grain structure of the steel, and finally, wear resistance. After the forging process, the steel forgings are finish-machined, heat treated, and finally finished with a black phosphate coating to prevent rust and corrosion. The E-TORX sockets and TORX bit drive sockets are laser etched with the tool’s size and the manufacturer’s name. The following tools are supplied in the set:● 13 TORX bits with three drive sizes: 1/4" Drive: T8, T10, T15, T20, T25, T27, T30 3/8" Drive: T40, T45, T47, T50, T55 1/2" Drive: T60● 12 External-TORX (E-TORX) sockets with three drive sizes: 1/4" Drive: E4, E5, E6, E7, E8 3/8” Drive: E10, E12, E14, E16, E18, E20 1/2” Drive: E22This tool set is supplied in a custom fitted case. The case is blow-molded of high-density polyethylene resin (HDPE), it utilizes a “self-hinge”, and has a single over-center latch. The case has dedicated positions for each tool with a molded-in size marking for each tool. This is a quality set of tools delivered in a nice case. The case could be improved by changing to a two-piece case design with a conventional hinge mechanism so that the case will last as long as the tools it contains. The tools are well-made of high-quality source steel. They are well marked using a laser etching process. My testing indicates that they are properly sized and should never round off or hollow-out a properly-sized fastener in good condition. Additionally, the tools are warranted by the manufacturer for a one-year period. While I am not a professional mechanic, I do a lot of my own work and well-made tools are necessary to doing a good and proper job of any kind. I am satisfied with the quality of this tool set.

The blow molded case keeps the bits organized and it is nice to have a full torx set available. I have various common sizes that came in other socket sets, but have never had a complete set.Generally the quality was decent. The sockets fit firmly onto the 1/4, 3/8 and 1/2 inch drives (yes all three are required). The case holds the bits in place until the lid is opened, just don't bump the case afterward. However, there is one glaring quality problem. When the torx bits were pressed into the sockets, they did not keep them properly aligned. Most were only off by a small amount, but the 45 size was poorly centered to the point it may not be usable. None were centered well enough to run cleanly at higher rpms, but that is not usually necessary. The larger sizes do need to stay intact under high torque, not sure if that will be the case considering how poorly the torx bits are seated.
