I bought this for my husband for motorcycle camping. He needs to keep his kit as compact as possible, so this collapsible pot is perfect. It also has a built in strainer in the lid which I am sure will come in handy! He loved it.

The pot isn't suitable for use on an open fire because the silicone will burn. It's primarily designed for use with a gas canister or a small wood stove, which creates another issue: the concentrated heat can cause food to burn and stick to the pot. Despite these considerations, it's still a great item to travel with.

I do quite a bit of backpacking and canoe camping. With backpacking, weight is a major concern. While when canoe camping, weight isn't as much of an issue, but packability is.This has become my go to, summer canoe camping cook pot.During the winter or shoulder seasons, I usually cook over a campfire when canoe camping. This pot should NOT be used over an open fire. However, during summer months, there is usually a fire ban and you have to use some sort of gas stove. When canoeing I'm also usually cooking for multiple people so I need a bigger pot. This one is awesome! It collapses down to about the size of a dinner plate, but pops out to a full 2.5 liter pot!The plastic lid fits very securely and has small holes to vent steam or drain water off of pasta.I can cook enough food in this pot to feed 3 or 4 hungry campers.I did take it on a recent backpacking trip too, where I was 'guiding' a few folks who were just getting started and didn't have much of their own equipment. However, it's a bit too big and heavy for me to bring on solo trips. For that, I bring a 750ml titanium pot that only weighs 5oz, that's all I ever need. For larger groups, this pot is a home run!Very highly recommended.

This collapsable pot is great for camping. We have a few smaller single sized pots, but needed something bigger when we take the grandkids camping. We generally camp at improved campgrounds so this size isn't a concern. But hiking with it may or may not be an issue. Besides, it collapses down and doesn't take up much space. As for using it, we cook over a portable gas stove to ensure the sides aren't exposed to flame, only the steel bottom. We've used it a few times now and couldn't be happier. I was skeptical of the $47.90 price tag, but after using a few times I think it's worth it. Especially when you're cooking for multiple people. Clean up is easy and the translucent lid with a strainer is a great addition.Overall, we're very happy with this pot and is now my wifes "go to" for cooking over the camp stove. Ingenioius design in my opinion and we plan to get years of use out of it. We keep it with our camping gear and make sure it goes out on every trip with us. I'm not familiar with the Campwolf brand, but seems to be as good a quality as the more well known brands.

The CAMPWOLF 2.5L Collapsible Camping is extremely similar to the The award-winning Sea to Summit collapsible X-Pot system. IT combines innovation, space-saving capability and functionality features ideal for space conscious campers. Design features include an embedded stainless-steel ring in the rim which creates a rigid structure to provide confidence when cooking large volumes of food, a in-built strainer in the lid and the ability to collapse into a small disc that can easily slide into a backpack or camping box.It has the same durable, translucent pot lid with strainer shortens boil time - no need to lift the lid to check the boil.Overall a great buy for about 20% less than the brand name product

While having a large capacity is nice, the slope of the walls don't allow for heat concentration therefore it takes a lot of fuel for cooking anything. I have a collapsible boil water pot the walls are almost straight up, so there's no excuse. Additionally, the lis my look cool and seem useful... but having a lot of nooks and crannies makes it difficult to clean. And let's face it, how often do you need a strainer? And wouldn't it be nice to have fold in handles? To not only reduce the size but make its stashability better? Maybe even have them lock the lid as well? Or at leat SOME way to lock the lid?I suggest instead of cookie cutter cranking out other people's designs, design your own. Like a lid that can double as a a plate, or made of metal with a seperating handle to use as a griddle (or pan).In the very leat make the walls steeper so it doesn't use so much fuel to cook things.

I have several pieces of collapsible camp gear: a kettle, several cups/bowls, buckets, and now this gem. This thing is truly designed well. It's features are simple and elegant, but happily work just right. The stainless bottom is similar to the kettle that I have, so I am used to heating and cooking with this. The pot is a NICE size at 2.5 liters. That's more than enough for cooking up soup or stew for several people at a campsite. There are flame warnings on the bottom, but I've never had any issue with this design being used over open flame/fire. In fact, that is how I tested this one.The drain slots in the lid are very much appreciated! The handles on the sides are ample enough to hold with stability... and the little flip-up tab for pulling off the lid even works well. This thing is just perfect all the way around. Nicely done!
