The magnets are thin and did not stick securely to my car. Except for the gnomes, all the designs are pretty small. The item description/measurements indicate that, but I didn't realize just *how* small they'd look on my car. Biggest problem with outdoor use is that they are NOT waterproof! It rained a little yesterday and water got between the magnet and the sticker and the design began to peel off several of the magnets. They're also fading REALLY fast. They'd be fine for a fridge or other indoor use, but definitely not recommended for car use.
