Holds the equivalent of 12 20 rnd boxes of my highest priced handgun ammo. ( I left some empty space for a mag loader). This is a very sturdy case. Very similar to that big named brand, but at a much lower cost. While it will certainly hold all of the calibers listed, I checked it and it works with 9mm as well. The rounds just don’t stick up as far. It has a rubber O-ring seal. Once you close the box, with the desiccant inside, it should keep your ammo fresh and ready to go for years.

This bullet storage case is excellent, and serves an additional purpose that is not disclosed in the product description. As a bullet storage case, it can store bullets in two levels, a bottom level, and a top removable tray. The removable tray has bullet holes exactly lined up with the holes on the bottom level, except for the portion that has the dehumidifier. The underside of the top tray has a recess, that allows the top parts of the bullets that are sticking out from the bottom tray, to be covered and have room for the second tray. Here is what I discovered: if you turn the top tray upside down, and only place bullets in the bottom tray that will clear the top tray rope handles, you can put the top tray fully down onto the bottom tray, leaving each bullet fully enclosed in its own little tube. A fully enclosed individual bullet is one of the requirements to travel with ammunition on a commercial flight, as part of checked baggage. Once the top tray has been inverted, the recess that was on the underside, becomes the bottom of the top compartment, which is perfect for storing a concealed carry automatic pistol, or even two of them, and a spare magazine for each. The fact that the case has holes on the outer shell, for affixing a padlock, means that you can use this case as a travel case for your small pistol, as part of checked baggage. Be sure to check with your airline, as each has their own policy, but this case meets all of the DHS and TSA guidelines as of the time when this review was created. Most Excellent Multi-purpose Five Star Hard Shell Ammo Case

The first thing I noticed when taking the case out of the box is that it is a well made, sturdy case. It does not look cheaply made at all. Pic 1: The teaspoon is mine for size comparison. The white at the bottom of the case is a light highlight, not a mark. The handle appears offset enough for larger knuckles to grasp it. P2: Another angle. P3: Soft foam inside the lid. 2 layers in the bottom. P4: The top layer has handles to lift it out. P5: The bottom layer.Silica gel in a tin cannister is included to absorb moisture. You can reactivate it. Rounds fit snugly in the foam holes. At both top corners are holes to place locks. There is an air pressure balance valve.I placed the side of the case and the handle side of the case in water, each for 10-15 minutes. It is waterproof.I've never had a case like this before so I have nothing to compare it to, but just handling it, I'm impressed.

Nice tough case. Not yet sure about storing ammunition this way but I like the water and humidity protection it offers.

This heavy duty ammo box from the Kinghardcase Store is great quality and can hold up to 260 rounds of 45acp or .40 S&W bullets as well as some other similar in diameter sized shells. It has a removable top piece which has rope handles for lifting it out of the case to access the bottom part which has a removable center piece for holding the reusable desicant tin used to help keep the ammo dry. There is a foam gasket embedded around the perimeter of the case lid and along with the awesome latches insure the case stays waterproof. The inner padding on the lid is an egg-crate type foam. I really like the latches on this case which have a great design and are easy to operate. There is a thick metal rod embedded within the back hinge for a very durable and smooth operating hinge and there are legs on the side of the case as well as short ones on the bottom. The design of the legs on the side of the case which are intended to hold the case up vertically are not a good design since the case tends to lean and fall since they are not extended the entire way across the side of the case. There is a pressure release valve designed into the front of the case which is great to have when storing any type of ammo especially if the case is exposed to a hot environment even for a short time period, although I would not store ammo in heat for any long term period due to possible degradation of the gun powder. This case has a thick swivel handle that has a soft silicone center for secure gripping. The overall dimensions of this case are 11" long x 9" wide x 4" high and there is a padlock hole on each front side for attaching a padlock to if needed. Based upon the quality and features of this ammo storage case I recommend this product to others.

This 260 round ammunition case can be used to transport ammunition to the range, or for long term storage of your higher end, self-defense ammunition. It has a fold flat handle for more compact storage, sturdy latches and piano style hinge, dessicant pack, pressure release valve, and accommodation for two padlocks should you need them. The lid has a rubber seal that will help keep water out of the case. If you live in a drier area, you can forgo the dessicant pack and gain space for ten more rounds of ammunition. This case seems to be a good value and I give it 5 stars.
