I almost didn't buy this because Amazon said it's a frequently returned item, but I'm glad I did. Watch the video and do as they do in the video and it works great. Roll your fondant extremely thin over the letters, don't try to use the letters as a cutter on the fondant. That's the key. Then tap it on the table and the letters come right out.I didn't give 5 stars because from the pictures I expected the letters to be more substantial. Portions of some of the letters (like A) are really narrow, making it hard to get a bold look, even with bright colors. But overall, great buy for the price.

Hard to remove the fondant once it’s pressed into the letters.

Very difficult to use because they’re all stuck together in a row so there’s no way to just get one letter. Not to mention your fondant has to be VERY thick however the cutter isn’t very thick so it doesn’t cut through. So these DO NOT work and if I could give it no stars I would.

I am a potter who is experimenting with these cookie cutters. I've made a vase and the scarves on the snowmen cookie jar from this puzzle set. (Images are works in progress and not yet fired in a kiln, but I wanted to show the versatility of this set of cookie cutters.)Most puzzle sets out there are not expandable. They tend to be a closed system, as in, I can make this square or rectangle set of pieces but no more connecting pieces. This 4 PCS Puzzle Cookie Cutter Set can be used to make many pieces that fit most every situation; a piece that be used to expand a set as far or large as one wishes (1 pc), plus a flat edge for either orientation of the puzzle piece (2 pcs) and a corner piece edge (1pc). I love this puzzle cookie cutter set!If this could be expanded upon to add more variety to the finished puzzle, I'd be in total heaven, but this set does great as an expandable puzzle.

These are really great. They work just fine as long as you follow the directions. Some people who reviewed these negatively clearly did not follow the directions and it's really too bad. The key is to roll out your fondant or gum paste super thin (less than the bands on any fondant roller would allow. You'll want to remove those and go thinner. Nope, even thinner.) and let it sit for a minute or two before you use the cutter. I add a little CMC powder to speed up the drying and for added firmness, but it's not required. You'll just have to wait a little longer for it to harden a bit. Brush a thin coat of cornstarch onto the rolled out fondant, dip your cutter in the cornstarch then gently tap off the excess. When you cut your piece it's important to wiggle the cutter against your work surface to completely cut through and get a defined edge. Then tap the cutter against the table top until your cut piece pops out. You can then use a fluffy brush to dust off any excess cornstarch. You should not need to go in afterward and trim a seam at all. Works like a charm. Just remember to LET YOUR FONDANT DRY SLIGHTLY BEFORE YOU USE THE CUTTERS and all will be well. If you still struggle, there are YouTube videos that troubleshoot any issues you might have with these. These are worth learning how to use!

They’re so easy to use and they come out absolutely beautiful. Just roll out the fondant press the letter cutter into it and then pull back on a little bit and let it smack the counter and it will fall right out They’re so easy to use and they come out absolutely beautiful. No Tugging or messing up the letter trying to get it out like some I’ve had. By far my favorite and they’re a nice size.

Good sized pieces. Very cute. Enough to create a 4x4 puzzle if desired.
