I’ve had this strobe light for a couple of days now, and it’s definitely bright. The brightness is almost too much if you’re close to it, but it’s adjustable, which helps. The speed and color options work well, and the sound activation feature adds a cool touch. You can even create some patterns or designs, but honestly, the brightness makes those hard to notice since no one will likely be directly focusing on it during use. It’s lightweight and easy to mount with the bracket, which was nice. I’d say it’s a solid option if you’re looking for something to light up a space or add energy to a party, just keep in mind how intense the lights are.

Very bright! It can defiantly be used as a very bright stage light to light up the stage with white light. It can also be used as a strobe light for a dance/concert situation. It has multiple modes with RGB lighting. Including bass sensitive light that will only strobe with bass. There are other modes to such as transition between colors, red, blue, green, and many of the colors in between. There is a hanger support mechanism that comes Pre-attached straight from factory. It's a great light for any situation. I'm going to install this in my home theater room in my basement, that also doubles as a boy's hangout. We usually have loud bass playing while hanging out.I like the fact there is a remote that comes with it that can control all the settings.Yes the fan is on the louder side, however, from my experience they are all like that. These LED's produce alot of heat and you need a good fan to throw that heat out of the casing. The one's that do not have a fan or have a quite one tend to fail prematurely due to heat death. Now I'm not saying this will last a long time, but the fan is a good sign. Besides, when the music is on or there is a program going on the fan cannot be heard.I would suggest you give it a shot. Alot of functionality built in and it can be a good value for the money!

Pros - great light quality with cool effects for strobing and color changes. Cons - cooling fan is a bit loud, electric plug connection a little loose and somewhat easily disconnected if the stand applies sideways pressure to it and with no instructions for the remote, can’t for the life of me figure out what the center buttons on the bottom two rows are supposed to do.

While this fixture is advertised primarily as a "strobe" and also "haunted house", it is much more than that. On one hand, this is a nice powerful up lighting unit with static colors or smooth transition solid colors, however if you use any of the automated sequences with very interesting effects, they can only be appreciated if the viewer is looking at the display - straight on. If the movement effects are aimed at a wall as in up lighting, all the effects are wasted.Construction is fairly well done, except that the fan is only held in with clips and no screws (Pic-6). The fan is VERY, VERY loud! All electrical connections are done with proper connectors as in Pic-3 (including the AC line), however there is a missing connection for monitoring the LED mounting board temperature. There is an NTC temperature sensor is on the board (Pic-2), but no connector and wire are plugged into the LED board receptacle. I guess that the manufacturer feels that the fan will never fail and the LED board will never over-heat. In PIc-5 you can see the wire coil antenna for remote control reception. Unfortunately, the remote control range appears to be rather short - 20 feet max! The DMX communication works, however between two somewhat similar units, the master/slave function does NOT appear to work. Control Panel functions are dis-similar enough as compared with other similar fixtures here on Amazon that you would not like the result of attempting to use DMX control with another fixture unless it was from the exact same seller. IMHOPic-7/8 are of the User guide. In summary, a very good price for the functionality assuming that you know how you are going to implement this fixture as far as either up lighting, or direct facing party mode. It does not play well with others........

When I unboxed this there was something rattling around inside. It turns out the fan was not attached to the housing and was loose inside the unit. Fortunately the housing was easy enough to open up to diagnose the problem and fix it. The fan is set to be held in place with a couple plastic tabs. So either it was never properly installed or came loose at some point. Either way that's not good. It was not hard to fix but still the light was not functional as received. The fan on mine seems loud and measured 60 db. Not like a vacuum cleaner but still annoying if there is no music playing. There are several preset lighting and color patterns and the light itself is very bright. There is a remote control to change the functions and DMX control is also available although I did not test that aspect. I would not order this again.
