This is being used to scan licenses into entry for our building. On average this will read about 70% of the licenses scanned. Sometimes in may take more than one swipe, but this is excellent for the price point.

Lo instale y funcionó excelente pero al cuarto día dejo de funcionar lo conecte a otra computadora y nada que funciona solo se enciende la luz verde del botón superior...Me comunique con el vendedor, una persona muy atenta me comunico que me iba a enviar una unidad nueva y está funcionando de maravilla... Worked well for 3.5 months then just stopped, no power, tried in other PC's with scanners that were still working no dice, so hard to recommend.*Update, after I wrote the above, the seller provided a full refund (also offered a replacement but I had already purchased a new one) so I am upgrading to 4 stars since the seller was so prompt in making things right.

After a few days the scanner buzzer stopped making a beeping sound. The instruction manual has ways to scan a barcode in order to apply factory default settings, to adjust volume, turn buzzer on and off, but nothing works to fix the problem. Tried unplugging and plugging back in. Sound stopped working on the scanner and cannot get it working again. Although the scanner was still scanning barcodes there was no longer an audible beeping sound as each barcode was decoded. We need the beeping sound on our scanner, so had to return the product. as defective.
