I'm in the process of building a DIY dual saddle cube type mount. I intend for this to be one of the dovetail saddles. I haven't quite worked out how I'm going to attach it to the mount yet. I have to say I'm very impressed with the build quality. I already own the YUEOCT dovetail saddle with dual locking knobs for Vixen scopes. I really like that one, so I'm glad to get my hands on this one. While this one only has the single locking knob, it feels even more robust than that other one. Probably because it's designed to take Losmandy dovetail bars along with Vixen dovetail bars. I don't have any scopes with Losmandy bars as of yet, but who know what the future holds. With this saddle I'll be ready to use a Losmandy bar if I should need to.Now back to the build quality. It's really good. The machining looks and feels great. There are a plethora of countersunk bore holes and slots, giving the saddle a lot of flexibility. While there is only a single locking knob, it's large and drives a fairly large brass clamp. Tightening and loosening the locking knob feels smooth with no binding at all. It makes a really solid grip onto the Vixen dovetail bar. It feels a lot more stable than the locking bolts on the saddle of my CG5 mount. The brass clamp also won't mar your dovetail bars like the screws and bolts do. (If that's something you care about.) Once again, i'm very impressed with this saddle. I can't wait to get it mounted onto my "franken-cube" mount when it's completed and really put it to use. Thumbs up on this one.

Placed this well crafted saddle clamp mount on my Sky-Watcher AZ-GTi. This Vixen style plate now holds my Sky-Watcher Evolux 62ED refractor scope firmly to the mount. Comes with (2) M6 #10 hex socket screws and (2) 1/4-20 3/8 hex socket screws with Allen wrench.
