I purchased this in addition to a tour pack for my Road Glide and after about a month of use it’s worked out fine. When installing the holes lined up perfectly so I only had to drill once.

This piece is super heavy and very sturdy. Definitely helps the after market trunk keep from "twisting"

I'm not sure what people can complain about with this piece. This is a heavy gauge piece of polished stainless steel that is cut perfectly to fit the base of a tour pack for under $40. I work in steel, and if I was to try to buy this piece from any of my vendors it would be a lot more than $40. The holes will accept a 5/16" diameter bolt which I felt was good size.
