I deal with a lot of sensitive information like credit card numbers, passwords, other peoples info, etc, and so I need to be sure no one can see whats on my screen but me.While this does have a blackout effect, there's a fairly large area around you where it's far from a black out.If I was in a plane, the person next to me would be able to see the screen good enough to make out the data. Or if I was in a hotel lobby someone behind me, even a few feet to the side or standing over me if I'm sitting would be able to read my screen.Maybe it's my screen. My laptop is about 6 months old and I usually keep my brightness all the way up.For most people this might work but it's not good enough at blacking out for my needs. In fact, I would be afraid to use it because it could give me a false sense of security.
