Like a lot of old 360 controllers, all 4 of mine had issues with the battery pack not providing power. I didn't feel like busting them open and for the effort these cords were a life saver. They fit snugly into the back of the controller. It was a simple plug and play, no fussing. I'd say these are worth the money if you don't mind playing with a wired controller.

I've always hated changing the batteries in the 360 controllers, and when I saw this 2-pack cable, I had to just try them out. I use a 50" TV with my xBox360 console on the TV stand, and the length of the cable is perfect for sitting about 4-5 feet from my TV which prevents my eyes from being overly-strained during long gaming periods. The end that goes into the controller itself never falls out (it actually takes a lot of effort to disconnect the cable from the controller). And there is absolutely no delay in controller input, and turning the console on with the main "X" button is quicker than with batteries. 10/10. And no, batteries DO NOT need to be in the controller for these cables to work, so no worries there.

Though this works great for charging the controller while playing, it does leave you tethered to your system. Hopefully your have a chair within reach. Personally I find myself recharging while not using the controller, and playing wirelessly once charged. These mostly come in handy during exceptionally long marathon games. You also need to make sure you have good rechargeable batteries.
