EDIT: Updated to 4-stars, because of user error. I didn't realize that during installation, I slightly pulled the other end of the cable from the back of the speaker, which led to the hum I couldn't get rid of. They appear to work and sound just fine now, which turns this into a much better deal than I originally thought. I am still holding back one star because the housing fell off of the 3.5mm end of the adapter. The adhesive used during the manufacturing process appears unable to adhere to the inside of the aluminum housing.I will also add that unlike a lot of other Amazon sellers, this seller has NOT contacted me to bribe me to change the review, which I respect. Though Amazon's AI gives the reliability of the reviews in this listing as unreliable and gives them a failing "F" score, I can't say anything negative about this adapter other than that they need to use a different kind of glue in their manufacturing process.::: Original unedited review below :::I give it 1-star because BOTH of the two pack I ordered do not function as intended. Fully connecting the adapters prevents any sound from coming out. If I am careful and pull it out a millimeter or two, I can get one speaker to work.They also have quite a lot of humming when I'm not playing anything. They were cheaply priced...but it's still a waste of money if they don't work in any meaningful way.

Absolute garbage one of them allowed me plug the aux in but didn’t work at all the other wouldn’t let me put the aux all the way in absolute waste of money

To start off, I'm a computer repair tech who has a laptop that has NO sound. This issue is either a hardware or software issue. BUT I needed the LEAST expensive and fastest method of repair. Upon installation of a fresh operating system and device driver installation, the sound STILL does not function. This means the problem is hardware failure. It's either a very expensive motherboard replacement OR an inexpensive EXTERNAL device with a BUILTIN sound card. Here's the BEST part, I done a search and found THIS particular product that SOLVED my sound issue .... INEXPENSIVE, VERY SMALL, SELF-REPAIRABLE, NO NEED to repair ... AND IT WORKS BEAUTIFULLY !! Easy self-install by just plugging into the computer, then plugging in the earbuds and playing your audio. No need for installing device drivers. JUST BUY IT. The product comes with TWO units for a FANTASTIC price. You won't regret it.
