This review is for the "2-Piece TDA7294V & TDA7294 High-Power Audio Amplifier with Mute Function, 40V 100W AB ZIP-15."ST microelectronics is the supposed manufacturer, however, I'm not able to confirm this is genuine. The emblem is on the chip, however, the listing and accompanying short video shows it as a generic chip. So, buyer beware. Price is about right- the variants from the original manufacturer is up to about 10 bucks. The amp is used in a wide variety of audio applications. I see them in general powered subwoofers all the time and have replaced my share- my main reason for ordering these. This particular chip, at least the one I received, is a plain base model. The V version is similar, but the HS version is considered the best of the variants as it's more stable and has better power output according to the datasheet. All versions are 100W max, generally supplied with up to +-40v rails. My experience with these single-channel (monolithic) AB amplifier chips is good. Low noise and low distortion for a cheap amp.Worthy of recommendation imho based on price for the generic variant and make. I removed one star because I don't like seeing genuine emblems on unconfirmed parts and their true origins.
