The brackets have plenty of inserts to make most configurations workI got these brackets to add a large tall queen headboard to my queen bed frame. Our bed frame is just a platform, the ones that doesn't need a tool to install. These backets worked for my situation, however, the plate can bend easily if the bed frame is not properly secured (since my bedframe is large and we have it against a wall to prevent it from leaning more. If it weren't against a wall, and had the brackets on it- the headboard would tilt when you lean against it)

I was given a metal bedframe & box spring, and later scored a free wrought iron headboard. The headboard came with bolts but only the bottom hole lined up with the bedframe attachment plate. These brackets from Amazon were the perfect solution. I attached the brackets to the bedframe first, then attached the headboard to the bracket. The headboard is now solidly attached to the bedframe, as if it was always meant to be.
