plugged it in to test it. Immediately it got hot enough to smell like burning silicone. I went and got the temp gun and recorded over 380F. The sensor for the temp must be located near where the plug wiring enters and be a bit insulated. It kicked off and then went to about 270F before kicking on again. It evens out better when actually mounted to the oil pan. Make sure you give it a good cleaning before putting this on there. The adhesive doesnt really like to stick to oily things. Put it on a timer and turn it on an hour or two before you want to drive an it will heat the oil up and make starting not as rough. Also helps to heat up your coolant a bit in the block and makes the vents blow warm air faster.
