This is a great idea and may work in the back seats of some vehicles to prevent the buckles from being eaten by the seats. The front seats of my Prius, not so much. These blocks of thick nearly rigid silicone are impossible to fit over the buckle mechanisms. We wound up slicing an opening to fit them around the base of the buckle and even then it was such a tight fit between the seat it was a Herculean task to wedge it in there.Anyone with limited dexterity or arthritis knows how challenging getting the seatbelt buckled can be if they are positioned awkwardly, so, we were really hoping these would help with that. It’s just too much of a pain to get them placed in the front seats which is where they are most needed in our case.

Kids were having a hard time getting the seatbelt fastened. In the rear seats the buckles are held in by a fabric strap. In the single buckle area the silicon holder works really well keeping the buckle in the upright position and not sinking in. In the double buckle area, it's a little tight and can only fit one.
