These filter out dirt and debris as you're cleaning and rinsing your mitt. The dirt was trapped below the guard and I had to rinse out the bucket after I was done to remove it, which is a great sign. I like that it has 2 different colors so I can easily tell which bucket is clean vs. my rinse bucket, as I use 5-gallon HD buckets. These fit those buckets perfectly.

This fits my chemical guys bucket, at first I was skeptical as I thought it was about to raise with the water but it stayed at the bottom so overall pretty good. I use this mostly for rinseless washes using ONR and lets the dirt and debris sink to the bottom for a nice one bucket washing method. Overall pretty good.
