Worked well for me. Seems a little light duty but I had no problems with them. One time purchase for me.

I have a set of hole saw bits that I got for my angle grinder. I got these adapters so I can use those bits with my drills too. The hex shank adapter works perfectly. I don't have a tool that takes SDS (yet) so I didn't test it. It turns out I do have some hole saw bits that don't fit this adapter because they have a higher thread count. This review is for BETTERI 2Pcs Core Drill Bit Adapters 5/8"-11 with 11.81" Pilot Bit, SDS-Plus Adapter & Hex Shank Adapter for 5/8-11 Threaded Drill Bits, Centering Pilot Bit for Dry Core Bit

BACKGROUNDThis came up as a Vine suggestion and it looked like it might be useful, so I agreed to review it.My angle grinder does not have a variable speed on it, but my drill does. Sometimes, I need to cut a hole in a material where a slower speed would be more appropriate, so I thought this might work for me.INITIAL OBSERVATIONSManufacturing quality is acceptable. The threads screw onto the core drill bits that are for an angle grinder and fit securely. I did not notice any obvious defects during the initial examination of the product. The center drill bit that comes with it is for masonry. If you are needing to cut steel, you should consider replacing it with a similar diameter drill bit for cutting steel (if your core drill doesn't already have a center drill).COMPLAINTS / ISSUESNo complaints about the actual product itself, but my idea to use the core drills at a slower speed does not work that well on some materials -- the core drill ends up skipping all over the surface of the material instead of cutting a hole when the situation requires you to not use a center drill. But, that is not a fault of this product.IMPRESSIONSThe product does what the ad says it should do. Whether you *should* use a drill as a replacement for an angle grinder for a hole saw is going to depend upon the material you are cutting and your own specific situation. You'll learn quick enough though which materials work with this type of setup and which don't.CONCLUSIONThe product meets the specifications in the ad and I can find no fault with the product itself. The only "fault" was in my initial assumptions that I could use a diamond core drill bit for boring a hole in wood around a nail that was already in the board. Although it does work, it is more of a *burning* of the wood than a cutting of it. But this is not a fault of the tool -- it did exactly what I *told* it to do. Unfortunately, what I *told* it to do was not a particularly good idea. Oh well... The product itself rates "slightly above average" (i.e. 3.5-stars).ORIGINAL AD DESCRIPTION2Pcs Core Drill Bit Adapters 5/8"-11 with 11.81" Pilot Bit, SDS-Plus Adapter & Hex Shank Adapter for 5/8-11 Threaded Drill Bits, Centering Pilot Bit for Dry Core Bit$22.99STAR RATING SCALE5.0 Excellent product (or perhaps customer service); There is NO room for improvement whatsoever; NOTHING is perfect, so this rating *should* be EXTREMELY difficult to achieve.4.5 Very above average4.0 Above average product; Something about it sets it a bit above similar products on the market.3.5 Slightly above average3.0 Average product; Meets expectations, perfectly serviceable, but does not do anything that sets it apart from similar products; Does not have some features that makes me say, "Wow, that's a neat feature".2.5 Slightly below average2.0 Below average product; Something about it is a bit lacking; It could be conflicted specifications or errors in the original listing or that it was arrived with damage that was unlikely to have occurred during shipping and should have been caught in either the manufacturer's or seller's quality control.1.5 Very below average / slightly poor1.0 Poor product; Waste of money at ANY price; Blatant lies in the original listing.0.0 Extremely poor product; doesn't work and seller either ignores contact attempts or takes an extremely long time to respond, possibly trying to run out the window for returning a product; possible scam seller; a seller or product has to screw up *really* bad to get this scoreǝuᴉʌ/ʇǝu.sɔ-ɥs.ʍʍʍ:ORDERED:2024-10-17:RECEIVED:2024-10-21:REVIEWED:2024-10-21:ASIN:B0CWQWW428
