Identify the 4 bolts on the inside of the tailgate.

Use a socket to remove the four bolts that secure the headlight housing to the chassis bracket.All the bolts are identical. Therefore, there is no need to worry about inserting any of the wrong bolts upon reassemble.

Grasp the top and bottom of your taillight.

Ensure you are pulling directly back. If this is your first time taking off your taillight it will be tight and require some force to pull off.If this is your first time taking off your taillight it will be tight and require some force to pull off.

The lights are housed in 2 separate sockets. Decide which one needs to be replaced. The disassembly process is the same for both lights.Grasp the gray portion of the light and twist clockwise.The Socket will loosen and disengage still housing the bulb.
Grasp the bulb and pull. The bulb will disengage from the socket with minimal effort.Replace the bulb by pushing the new one straight into the bulb's housing using minimal force.
TIPS：The bulbs are made of glass so if dropped they will shatter and be a potential hazard discard with caution.

Insert the whole bulb assembly back into the housing.Grasp the grey portion of the bulb assembly and twist counterclockwise.
This process is identical for both taillights.

Grasp the top and bottom of your entire taillight assembly.Insert the assembly by pushing straight forward in a firm fashion.The grey push tabs are made of plastic therefore they can be fragile. Opt for less force as the tabs could be damaged.Use a socket to tighten the bolts to secure the headlight housing to the chassis bracket.
TIPS：Ensure you do not over-tighten the bolts as it will increase the difficulty of future repairs.

I had originally given one star because it didn't fit my 2005 toyota 4runner. However, after going to many different places and finally getting in touch with the guy that sold me the vehicle, I've learned that he had use a part from another vehicle and that's why the socket made for 2005 toyota 4runner didn't fit. This part is the same size that both Autozone and O'Rielly's offered me, except this is cheaper and you don't have to buy the socket separately from the connector. I absolutely recommend this part. (Also, worth noting that the company reached out to me quickly and offered a refund even though the issue wasn't the product.)

These wiring harness' are a life saver. Or at least it saved my blinker and I did not even have to mess with any blinker fluid. Hahah. No seriously, I kept having blinker bulbs burn out right after putting a new one in. Then I learned sometimes these plugs go bad after a while. Problem solved. At this time I didn't need to replace the end with the wires on them. The price of 13 USD is super reasonable. I would order this again.

My 4Runner needed a new turn signal bulb connector due to some front end damage, and I didn't feel like paying dealership prices. I found this kit on Amazon for way cheaper, so I decided to roll the dice. It comes with 2x of both the connector and the bulb socket, so I have an extra set of I need later.The quality seems great so far. It fit the bulb and housing perfectly, and the attached wires soldered as expected. No complaints from me.
