I had no idea this tool existed until it came up on my feed recently. Wow! You can literally tweak the hinges in any increment you want. If you can't make the door true up and close nicely with this tool, you're not trying hard enough. The other thing I really like about this setup is you don't scrape the hinges and leave marks like using plyers tends to do.Yes, it's definitely a specialty tool but there is no better way to get that door trued up quickly.

These do work and are robustly made, the adjustments made to a hinge this way isn’t the first choice for repairs to a door that’s not closing properly, but it does work. Recommend shims and other methods first and an overall assessment to make sure screws ans other things aren’t loose. This adjustment bends the hinge itself which can do the trick. I had to use a putty knife to protect my trim from being damaged while bending.

Honestly, I'm kicking myself for not buying this thing sooner. I’ve wrestled with sagging doors for years, using all sorts of makeshift fixes that never really worked. This hinge bender? Solid as a rock, and it made tweaking those hinges a breeze. No more scratched up metal, just clean, easy adjustments. Now, I’m no expert, but even I managed to get my doors swinging perfectly. Just remember, easy does it – you don’t want to rip those screws out of the wood. Seriously, if you've got wonky doors, grab one of these."

I am always looking for a better tool to make an annoying job less annoying. Adjusting door hinges is one of my least favorite things to do. I typically use a nail-set tool (or other makeshift wedge) to spread the hinge, and a crescent wrench to "un-spread" (or tighten). It is a lot of back and forth (trial and error), so I was hoping that tool would introduce some efficiencies - which it did not. First of all, when tightening a hinge, you really want to focus on the hinge knuckles attached to the door-side of the hinge and not the frame-side of the hinge. This tool is too long to isolate the knuckles, which for me made the process even slower. Overall, the tool does work, but for me it was not much of an improvement - so not something I would recommend to others (IMHO).

They don’t fit over the hinges. Don’t buy!

These are easy to use and with four different sizes they are useful on almost any hinged door. I used them to fix gaps and straighten every door in my house. Loaned them to friends and the facility maintenance person and they keep asking me where I got these. They are easy to use, but depending on the door and the strength of the hinge can require some considerable force to adjust. Cracking the door slightly open and placing a block to keep the door from closing is helpful and makes the adjustments easier. These are definitely easier and safer to use then vise grips or pliers. I feel like these are a great value for the price, convenience, and ease of use. While this isn't a tool that I will use often, they are worth every penny and then some.

I had a door in my house that was always sagging and you would have to lift up on in order to get it to latch. Many times I have tried the different tips for bending the hinges with a crescent wrench and nail punch, but could never get it to work. When I saw these I figured these would be almost fool proof. As soon as they arrived I went to work on my saggy door. No matter how much I tried bending the hinges I could not get the door to change. The big issue I kept running into is this tool has so much torque that you can literally rip the hinges off the frame or door. When trying to bend the hinges I many times saw the hinges pulling away from the door or frame, and the small screws, into the soft wood were just pulling out. If this was a steel door I am sure these would work much better. Overall I would recommend thinking twice before using these on a residential door with a wood frame.

This tool can come in handy when aligning a door opening. The smallest one that I needed had a bit of trouble getting over the hinge. The tools opening slot could be a bit wider. I had to tap it on with a hammer. You do have to put a bit of force on the tool to bend the hinge into position. Make sure that the hinge is securely mounted to the frame before attempting to use this tool or you might just pry the hinge from the frame. With the force needed for the smallest tool, I'm not sure if they are long enough for the larger openings which are large and heavy hinges but for what I needed, they worked.
