These are a high quality set of line sensors to the Xiao robot car. I only question the value of Xiao robot car itself.

These sensors work but their maximum range is no where near the 50 cm ~ 20 inches in the description. They would have worked for my application if the max range was as advertised but unfortunately they do not sense past about 4 - 5 inches/ 10 - 12 cm. All four of the sensors I ordered are like this.

Plugs directly into RoboRio port and works well as a digital I/O.

These definitely were handy for my little project. They were nicely packaged and were shipped out immediately once I placed my order. Both worked perfectly out of the box and was simple to wire up (I had some issues with the sketch, but finally figured it out) - Once I figured out my mistakes they worked great. Changing the sensing distance was easy and straight forward.I also liked the fact that the yellow casing is fully threaded which gives you plenty of mounting options for your tight spaces. The wire lengths were 285mm long, which I thought was plenty enough for my project.

This review is for 2 IR obstacle sensors.Ordered Tuesday, had ‘em Thursday. WOW! Extremely easy to set up. Other than the pinout, there are no instructions needed. Simple digital signal (High, low). The distance is easily adjustable from about 1” up to 10” (5cm - 25cm). I didn’t get any false/missed triggers. The entire length of the body is threaded and there are two nuts included so they’re easily implemented into projects.

This review is for the IR sensors, come with a nice package and both work as expected. The free standard shipping delivered the package from NV to CA in 4 days. Hard to find the exact pinout for the reference, but it seems matching with the cable on the servo I had and the yellow(signal/output) in the description is more like orange. Great customer support and communication, without problem getting responses from them. The performance is typical with the other IR sensors I purchased. Facing the screw hole, clockwise to increase the sensitivity and the other way to reduce it. It seems the sensitivity affects more to the shining objects, i.e. metal ruler and has no effect to the matte objects, like paper. The matte surface is always detected at 8~9cm, regardless of the adjustment. Tested with a black textile surface and it works as well. Both sensors are not tune to the same sensitivity from the factory and the maximum range is roughly 30cm with the metal ruler. The price is not the most expensive nor cheapest, but it is fair if you are in a rush.

took me a while to find some free time to finally test these but I am happy with them. They are working better than my last pair and can even handle lower lighting levels and still work. Connectors seem solid as do the general materials

After having gotten an RC car kit I decided to give these a try and they worked flawlessly (and go well with the frame of my RC car which is why I got them I should add). These are pretty easy to use and there are even a few videos on youtube of how to use them. I haven't had any issues with them yet so I am quite satisfied.
