Other rod supports I've had in the past are usually thin steel or aluminum. They bend easily, and most rust after a few years. These are much thicker and heavier than those others. If they are actually made of stainless steel, they should last a long time without rusting. Time will tell. The one thing I was disappointed about was there were no screws included. To be fair, the description didn't say screws would be included, but I just assumed they would. The problem being - if you have bought any stainless steel screws lately, a package of the screws will cost you as much (of not more) than the support brackets! If they had included screws, this would get a 5 star rating.

This rod bracket set screws into the wall. I added a clothes rod to an existing alcove. This stainless steel rod socket is the type where one end is a U shape so a rod can be lifted in our out as needed without removing a bracket from the wall. Five stars because this simple product is exactly as described and expected. Seems like a bargain for heavy stainless steel brackets.
