If you want to keep the red wire and black next to each other, you have to do that yourself. This may or may not be a feature.

My two solar generator units weigh almost 80lbs each so I got two of these to go between the panels and the units. They function well with minimal impedance. They also seem to be built well, and the length was as advertised. Will likely buy more in the future.
