Really wanted to like this drawer but quality assurance from the manufacturer is just poor. First drawer came with a damaged bent mounting bracket. Returned it asked for a replacement. The replacement arrives without any hardware or key to the lock. Discounting will now have to buy another lock for it and mounting hardware because I’m not waiting another 2 weeks for Amazon to replace it again.

This may not be the review they want but this is a great locking and charging box for adult toys. Add a multi USB port through the plug in hole in the back and youvare good to go. Fits perfect under the bed locked up.

Considering the general purpose for which this is designed, it is a nice solid piece of rack equipment.It was packaged well enough, with Styrofoam around the perimeter. FWIW, mine arrived in perfect condition.The frame & drawer are made with a sturdy gauge of sheet metal and powder-coated with a nice black finish, with a texture which has low glare and hides fingerprints. It should blend in well with other rack gear.I placed it flat on a counter-top to see if the drawer would open/close without interference. Indeed, there was not any noticeable resistance, so the drawer should operate freely without 'catching' on anything in the rack space below it or above it (see additional remarks below for details about the drawer design).The drawer has telescoping glides which are smooth and quiet, and enable it to extend full-depth when open. The lock operates easily and includes two keys.Note, this is not a high-security or 'theft-proof' drawer; it is for designating physical access to 'superusers', managers, et-al. i.e. Assume the facility itself is secure. Below I have listed 3 design quirks which limit the level of security and the purposes for which the drawer might be used outside of a data center, etc.(I have posted photos of the back and underside of the frame/drawer to help illustrate and clarify.)1) Notice the backside of the frame is open, and it is the drawer itself which 'closes off' the rear of the unit. As such, be aware that any cords or cables passing through the holes in the back of the drawer will be moving with the drawer as it opens and closes, this is a potential 'pinch point' for cords/cables in and around this unit. It might be possible to gain access from the rear, due to the open chassis design.2) The recessed drawer handle is a nice feature, but it is plastic and easily removed, leaving the lock accessible for tampering. The lock is a simple lever which 'catches'the frame, it can be easily defeated.3) The front of the drawer does not cover the rack ears when closed/locked, thus it would be a simple matter to remove 4 rack screws and then abscond with the entire frame & drawer.The above points are not meant to diminish the utility of it, but only to explain it is not a 'safe' or lock-box. To reiterate, it is useful for limiting access to designated staff, administrators, or similar usage cases.This is a nicely built rack drawer, and is perfectly suitable for it's intended purpose along with other potential applications, taking into account its limitations. I'm impressed with the build quality at this price!

This is a quality product and is the most useful thing on my rack. The drawer action is nice and smooth. The build quality is excellent, and the item is strong enough to use the top of the drawer for another shelf.Great product!

I really felt the urge to write this review after I purchased the 4U drawer and installed it today. I installed it in my rack above another brand's 4U model GRW-DRWDF4 I had purchased from SWS. This review is also a bit of a comparrison. In total I have two racks with 5 drawers, 4 are higher-end drawers and this one being the least expensive. While this one is just about an inch shorter front to back (and I knew that prior to purchase) than the GRW-DRWDF4, I really like the smooth (no exposed bolts for rail) internals of this drawer and it just pulls and closes so much smoother and easier. Its not a thick metal as the GRW-DRWDF4 but is still completely solid construction and not at all flimsy or thin. The GRW-DRWDF4 may be over built for a home studio like mine where I just want good solid drawers. This one exceeded my expectations. Hope it continues to perform.I see the reviews regarding concerns on packaging and can see why these drawers may get bent in shipping because there is only some flimsy styrofoam between it and the box wall. I was lucky to get one with no damage but see how that is completely possible. They should pack them better or double box them. Having said that I would still roll the dice on that point and order another one of these if I needed to versus getting a GRW-DRWDF4 or something similar to a GRW-DRWDF4 at more the double the price.

The rack works really well... the keys fit nicely. But when I opened the box one of the mount corners was bent pretty far. Made it a huge challenge to actually get it to fit.
