If you’re trying to put these on 2” square steel fence posts buyer beware…they are just too small to fit. I broke three of them trying to install. Even tried smoothing up the edges of the post and using some grease. Returning the rest of them. They obviously need to make the inside dimensions a little bigger than 2” x 2”.

Those measurements are the outer rim that first has to slide onto the post. You cannot tap them on with a rubber mallet, they will break in two. Grinding the inside of 20 + of them to try and make them fit is a huge waste of time.

The plastic square frame was not "real" square so I had to file down one inside edge to fit it over the square frame of the metal posts.

I had to grind the corners on my post for the Caps to fit cuz if I knocked them on without grinding me it broke the plastic
