Unclear instructions and non fitting parts for the locking mechanism. The parts they show in the assembly video don't match up with what comes in the box. Wish this one would have worked but it just doesnt.

Omg. Useful but flawed. I bought this (despite the $50 delivery price) because I needed a file cabinet of a specific size to fit nicely into a hallway closet that I renovated to be a ‘computer closet’. It holds files, laptops, computer equipment, etc. in a clean cut, aesthetically pleasing way. The file cabinet is nice and clean looking—can’t complain about that. But, the instructions get bad about midway through and the locking mechanism kept causing the drawers to jam when it was completely assembled. I had to disable the locking mechanism entirely by removing these black pieces. Side note: remove the white pieces before you try and close the drawers—I think they’re just for packaging purposes but the instructions don’t tell you to remove them. Fortunately, I don’t NEED the file cabinet to lock but, unfortunately, I’m not getting my money’s worth because… I can’t ever use the lock. In the end, I’m just happy that my closet reno is complete and functional.

We got this because we needed the size (2 ft wide) and the height to put the file into a small area. The cabinet ships flat-packed and requires hours of assembly work. It took almost a full day (and the person doing the assembly is an experienced manufacturing engineer, too.) Some of the pieces are mislabeled ("B" rather than "A" and vice versa,) and the drawings and instructions are ambiguous. When assembled, it didn't work particularly well - it is rickety, and the drawers stick. It's here, it sorta works, and that is something, I guess. But not much...

Good value for the money. Assembly was a bit tricky, instructions were not very descriptive. But once I figured it out, all went well. All parts were shipped per instructions. However, there were 12 holes that looked like they were for screws. So, I purchased those twelve screws and put them in. Help tighten up the entire cabinet. This is a medium grade cabinet, not like to cheap box store type, but not a commercial grade either. I would buy again.

The file cabinet was easy to put together and seems pretty sturdy. It holds more than I thought it would, which is a plus for me. The only drawback is that it does not come with wheels, but I did find some here on amazon that worked out perfectly. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nice looking file cabinet.

I was skeptical when I discovered this had to be assembled but was proved wrong once it was. Very sturdy. I placed my printer on top and the storage drawers are deep and sturdy. Great value compared to others at office supply stores.
