So, not a lot I can say her, other than I has 2 extension cords that needed new ends (fraying and such). It took less than a minute to put one of these on, and it works perfectly, as intended. My only issue is stop using cheap hard plastic, and use a form of rubber, as these feel pretty cheap and will crack if used outside in cold weather!

The 3 pack male replacement plugs by Hurricanemanspt are very basic replacement plugs for use for indoor appliances only. I was hoping to use these for more heavy use for an extension cord replacement however, these will not last up to the heavy duty use. I am also disappointed that they state that the plugs are made with thicker copper parts which are used for heavier duty plugs but these do not have that at all and therefore should not be considered as part of your decision on whether to purchase these or not. The contacts inside are most likely made of stainless steel instead. What i find interesting is that in the detailed description area they do not mention copper parts at all just simply ABS plastic and metal however, the pictures which most people check out clearly states that copper is included in the manufacturing of the plugs. I will use them but only for light duty work and certainly, I would not recommend using them for something that you plug in and unplug frequently. For these reasons I am giving this a rating of 3 out of 5 stars and I am not sure I would recommend them either.

I chose this three-pack of three-prong male plugs for general repairs around the house. Between me forgetting to unplug the block heater cord from the extension and my wife pulling out plugs by the cord, we tend to go through a couple of plugs per year fixing various appliances and extension cords that break due to our clumsiness or simply wear out over time.Purchasing these types of plugs in store isn't all that cheap and when they do go on sale, it's generally the heavier-duty ones that are big, round and bright yellow. Not exactly the look you want indoors for curling irons or the coffee maker. These plugs, however, are a much better match to most appliance plugs. The look is sleek and matches the original plug most of the time. Installation of these is simple and quick but it should be noted that these aren't terribly well suited to rough use. The plug is held together by a single screw that has course threads that dig into a plastic hold inside the plug. This works well as long as you're not opening and closing the plug too many times, otherwise that screw will lose its bite into the plastic hole as it wears out. Regardless, this is a similar design to plugs at the hardware store that each cost more than half of what this three-pack does. All in all, a decent set of extra plugs to have around for quick and easy repair of light duty appliances and indoor extension cords.

I opened these up. Found that all the metal is silver coloured and took out a file. After filing a good bit of material off the connection plates I still only found silver coloured metal. The listing claims "thick copper parts."No.No copper anywhere.I think all the metal is stainless steel.Stainless steel is not a very good conductor of electricity and I would advise that these not be used to run any current above maybe 8 amps. And only for short periods of time. Absolutely NOT 15 amps.In fact the conductor screws are small and do not provide an adequate connection for wire above 18 AWG. Moreover, neither strain relief nor wire clamping is provided so it is very easy for the individual wires to come out and provide poor connection. Which could be disastrous. So these plugs should only be used for short lengths of thinner cables. Also these plugs have no electrical certification of any kind.

This plug is super easy to add to a power line needing a new or replacement grounded plug. Below the plug cover, you have the option to either attached your 3-wire line via screws or if you wish, you can solder your wires onto the posts. I did both to make the connection extremely durable. I don't think you would typically need to do both, I wanted to practice my soldering. These plugs are close to OEM plugs and look great versus the large yellow bricks most often used for plug replacement.

If you find yourself in need of a plug to attach to some bare wires, then these are great plugs. They have a solid outer shell, with the inner insert housing the wiring harness. The solid shell helps to keep them water resistant, and they are otherwise unremarkable, but perfectly functional plugs.I wired mine up to a power supply for an outside light-show controller power brick and they work just fine.
