These are strong! I bought these as a second clamp. The way that I string I like two clamps, and I use these for starting my crosses. The clamping power is very strong, and stronger than my other clamp, so they will deform/flatten polyester strings a little bit if you clamp towards the tip, and more if you clamp closer to the pivot. I like my other clamp for starting the mains and tying off. In any case, a good buy for the money.

Looked at the much more expensive name-brand starting clamps for tennis racquet stringing and decided to try a less expensive one first. This one easily holds tension to the 52-57lbs I need. Recommendation for tightest grip is to place string lower in the clamp. Unsure if it causes string deformities, but generally it will be at a knot or as it passes thru the frame so less concerned.

Strings pull through the clamp even at low tensions. They slip even when I'm just using the clamp to tie off the string job.

Good quality value clamp with high tension grip. Use it for tennis racket stringing.

Sometimes pulling on this for tensioning causes the string to slip out, damaging it in the process. I wish it had a stronger grip. I have better experience with a 4 spring model sold on Amazon by Aosekaa

The product is good. It is a little strong though which is why I took one star away. The other star is because it came with a small rip on the grip. It wasn’t horrible so I didn’t have to send it back but it’s still there!!

I purchased this clamp after purchasing a Gamma clamp, so I can compare them side-by-side. Clamping force is very good. The design is almost identical with a few differences in things like the shape of the edges. I don't think either has an advantage over the other, but they are not identical. The clamping force actually seems higher than the Gamma, which can be a good or bad thing. I typically use the Gamma for a starting clamp and this one to tie the knots. This clamp is well worth the money. If you feel that clamping force is too much (which could damage string), just move the string further to the end (away from the pivot point).
