The item is wired to work with RV systems. The 120V hot wire is connected to BOTH of the hot 240V plugs. Do it doesn't work for standard EV charging. As popular as EV charging is becoming, the product description should be updated to make this crystal clear.

The product is as described on Amazon. It is 12 inches end-to-end and adapts an RV 30amp plug to a RV female 50 amp plug. This is ideal for when there is only 30amp service available and your RV uses a 50amp plug and cord. The ends are molded ends and the 30amp side plugs in firmly to a 30amp receptacle and my 50 power cord plugged in firmly to the 50 female outlet on this adapter. I like the fact that the adapter is ETL certified as I've noted that not all adapters available on Amazon are either ETL certified or UL listed.
