I ordered this for two reason. I wanted to know how much my large appliances were really costing me to operate, and to discover which of my electronics were using excessive phantom power (power used when the device is "turned off" in standby mode. The Home theatre setup in my basement uses over 60 watts of power with everything turned off, nearly $60 per year at my current kWh cost.Setup is easy. Plug it into your wall, plug your devices into the box and turn it on. All the answers to exactly how much power anything you have plugged in are right there on the screen. It works great! Readout is reasonably consistent with the power consumption statistics on a portable charger I have. It is a little bulky, and I feel like it could be made to fit in a smaller package, but the bulk and weight make it feel like a professional product. The screen is bright enough to read, without being excessively bright in a dark room.

This is something ive been needing for a whike to test certain appliances and so far it works great! Definitely something I'll keep using, its fairly good quality, the length of the cable is goof, its voltage measurement is accurate, you can easily ready it, and its very easy and simple to install or put somewhere aka screwing it onto a wall or board to hold it in place. Im fairly impressed with it and I love using it! Definitely something I recommend getting especially if your wanting or needed to test voltage for certain appliances to make sure they're pulling what there supposed to and something isnt burned or wired wrong!

This miniature circuit breaker works well. It's a great way to isolate and monitor higher household loads. But, it's not built to US standards and doesn't carry any sort of safety listing like UL, ETL, or TUV. And, the 15 amp plug with a 20 amp outlet is asking for trouble. Nevertheless, the breaker is marked as IEC608898-1, the international standard, and GB/T 10963.1, a Chinese standard. The power monitoring works great. It seems accurate, and matches up closely to my Kill-A-Watt over a 12-hour run. Oddly though, the temperature display can't be changed from Celsius.

My husband is a DIY hobbyist and uses this 15A AC power meter on his work table with good results. It reliably monitors voltage, current, power, and energy in real time, making it ideal for projects that draw some energy – like his peltier project (~60W and more). However, he did notice that the readings aren’t accurate enough for low-power electronics such as a raspberry pi. If you plan to work with sensitive, low-level devices, you might need something with higher precision. Overall, it’s a solid and easy-to-use tool that does what it promises without any unnecessary frills.

This is for "15A AC Power Meter, 125V Digital Multimeter Tester, NEMA 5-15P to NEMA 5-20R Outlet Monitor with 10FT 14AWG Cable and 20A Circuit Breaker"Price at review time: $69.99 before 10% off couponMeter casing is constructed of durable plastic. Cord is typical appliance quality power cord ending in 5-15 plug. The circuit breaker is 20A (per the circuit breaker manufacturer, the C20 in the name designates 20A). Breaker trips quickly when testing current draw over 20A. Meter has a plastic face which scratches easily. Meter button works as described in listing.

This does almost everything I need it to, and I would have given it a 5-star review if it was able to display temperature in Fahrenheit. I got this to monitor loads on various AC circuits for an off-grid solar project at my house. I like the size of the display, the ease of portability, and the on-board circuit breaker. There are flanges on each side to secure it to a wall or other structure, but I did not need this functionality so its review is deferred. As far as accuracy is concerned, I did establish some reference readings from 4 circuits with a Fluke 8808A bench multimeter, then conducted the same tests with this device. Line voltage varied no more than 1 Volt, Watt measurements were within 2% of reference, but usually within 1%. Though, this device was slower than the Fluke at displaying deltas (granted, the Fluke is $1300 more expensive than this). Current stayed within a couple hundredths of an Amp of reference. All in all, this is a good multimeter, but I took a star off because the "breaker" included is little more than an on-and-off switch for the multimeter and outlets. Do not depend on it to protect your connected loads.

This seems to be a well built but basic power meter. The gauge of the plug wire is certainly heavy duty so I have no question about using it under load. The breaker is very easy to switch on and off which I like so it doesn't take much effort if I need to turn it off. The power usage interface is quite simple. Simple to use but simple to read as well as it is colorized so you can at a glance tell what is what.It seems to be fairly accurate, maybe a little off but I don't have the equipment to tell how much off if any, I just know the appliance I plugged in was rated for 700watts and it read 745, That could be the appliance itself though.I will be using this to monitor energy usage consumed by my printers and computer and have no question that it will be able to handle the load.
