The switches are not "normally open", which makes these switches 100% defective. Fine if you want the opposite, "normally closed". I'll look elsewhere for a correct switch.

These are decent switches. Durable and seem well made. The included two sizes of caps are nice but for long term use I’d recommend a spot of glue to really make sure the cap stays at least on the smaller one.The two sides are isolated, so if you sink or source one of the commons it’s only affecting the poles right next to it. My only real gripe is that these are not breadboard compatible. It doesn’t indicate as such in the diagram but I was hoping I could wedge them in. For breadboarding these are not great but if you need these for a pcb they would do the trick.

Check out the low soldering temperature for these parts -- normal soldering will cause the part to melt. They are amazingly tiny! I had no idea that an alternate action switch could be made this small, to say nothing of a DPDT switch! I do have some uses for these switches, like on the project shown here. If you're a electronics hobbyist, these are perfect for some of your projects. Pins are so delicate, I would recommend connecting these by wirewrap instead of solder. However, with great care you may be able to solder to the tips of the leads if you are very fast. Failure to use best soldering technique will result in the switch seeming to move but no contact is made. Great for the price!

This review is for the "Mini Latching Push Button Switch 5.8 * 5.8mm 0.23in Plug-in Circuit Board SPDT 6Pin On Off Self-Lock Mini Power Button with Switch Cap DC 30V 0.1A 30Pcs."Lots of applications for these small switches in my projects. My only issue is that I'll need to make sure I use a little debouncing code and a cap & resistor when using these to activate data lines. Else, for just about everything from turning on small signal lines to LEDs, the switches are great. They aren't made of metal. So be aware these can deform under certain conditions. If you are using them in general projects, I believe these will work just fine.Worthy of recommendation imho.

Being DPDT with normally open and normally closed sides, these are quite versatile. I’ve seen them used in many products, from light electronics to things like toaster ovens (in conjunction with relays). Overall the action is very good and they perform as expected.I consider the caps, in two sizes, a plus because my use is primarily for repair. I deducted a star only because, when pulling one of the caps off after trying it on, I noticed it pulled the switch’s plunger out to the off position (it had been on). Do the switch internals need to be able to resist this level of force? Maybe, maybe not. But I figure a five-star switch would.

Very often mini switches have a sort of "mush" to them. A noticeable wobble in the plastic plunger or flaky connections for example. These however are very solid for their size, the momentary lock giving nice tactile feedback. I also like they came with a large enough spec sheet and schematic I can actually read without magnification.I did a couple of random tests and the switches were open when they should be and shorted when they should be - just like a good little switch should perform.A bonus is they come with two different types of switch capsOverall, this is about as excited as I can get regarding switches.Item: 30Pcs Mini Latching Push Button Switch 5.8 * 5.8mm 0.23in Plug-in Circuit Board SPDT 6Pin On-Off Power Button with Switch Cap DC 24V 0.1A

These seem like good switches. Mechanically, they feel sturdy and not cheap. You have your choice of two caps; they give you a bag of larger caps and a bag of smaller caps. Both make a nice tight fit onto the switch. Electrically, at least for the two that I tested, they work exactly as DPDT switches are supposed to.However, I made a mistake when I ordered these. I thought these would fit onto a standard breadboard, but these have a 2mm pitch rather than the breadboard's 2.54mm pitch, so the pins are too close together for the breadboards and perfboards that I have laying around. But that's my error and not a fault of the product.

These will work great for many projects I do, very small but high quality.
