I've hade these for a few months, and am only on my third bit out of the set. I'd probably still be on the second one, but I dropped my hammer drill and it bent the hell out of the bit. I've also been mostly using them on cinder block walls, so I'm not sure how good they are at going through a slab, but I've got no complaints.

We used one of these to drill through a metal frame to add casters to it. The bit lost a bit of the green tint, but it cut through the metal like it was nothing. They are high quality and work great on metal at least. I think they are well worth the cost.

These bits are made for standard drills, NOT impact mode.I needed a 5/16 masonry bit to clean up some holes for a barn door latch and to drill some other holes for concrete inserts.Cut 4000 psi (good concrete) like slicing through butter. I then tested the same bit on brick. Once again, really quick. I tried it on a piece of sandstone rock, probably about #5-6 on the hardness scale, so not that hard. Drilled that very quickly, too. I have not tested granite.I next drilled wood. Once again, works well.I was curious about the fellow that said he was drilling steel. I tried drilling steel and aluminum. No luck. Didn't make a dent. I tried three different bits, including a 1/4 inch version. So I don't get that.I then drilled into a thick piece of quarry tile. This type of tile is frequently low fire, but since this was a piece of commercial quarry tile, it may have been fired at a higher schedule, and therefore, harder. That went slow, even with water cooling and a fresh bit.In all these materials, even the steel and aluminum, the bits stayed centered perfectly. They didn't "walk".I also drilled a hole in a thick piece of polypropylene plastic. Yup, drilled that OK too. But I am still really curious about how that fellow got these bits through steel (???)

Recently got my hands on this 10-piece 3/16” Masonry Drill Bit Set, and I've been pretty impressed with their performance. These bits, designed for tackling a variety of materials like ceramic tile, plastic, brick, cement, and even wood, have proven to be quite versatile. What stands out to me is the high-quality carbide material used; it feels durable and is clearly built to last, which is a breath of fresh air compared to some of the lower quality bits I've used in the past. The drilling experience with these bits is notably smoother. I attribute this to the U-shaped groove design that seems to do a great job at chip removal, making each job less of a hassle. Plus, the assortment in just one size is pretty handy for consistency in projects requiring the same diameter holes.Their wide range of applications has made this set a go-to for my DIY projects around the house, from hanging decorations on concrete walls to minor renovations in the bathroom. The fact that they're designed to reduce cracking in harder materials is a major plus, and I've noticed fewer issues when drilling into tougher surfaces.Another feature worth mentioning is the quick-change hex shank. It fits perfectly into my power drill, making bit changes quick and secure, which is super convenient when I'm working on projects that need to move along swiftly. All in all, for something as simple as drill bits, this set packs a punch with its quality, design, and versatility. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable set for their drilling needs. ★★★★★

I'm a glazer when we install shower glass. Some tile is extremely hard. These bits drill really well. We don't have to bring out the rotary drill as much!!

I bought these to drill holes in ceramic tile for a shower surround. I had to drill about 6 holes to mount the frame. 1 bit drilled all 6 holes. It was showing a bit of discolouration because of the heat on the last hole. I used water to cool it the best I could drilling a vertical wall and tried to go slow so it didn't burn the bit. With 4 cutting edges it worked quite well. Most bits I've used only have 2 cutting edges. Some of those only last half as long. I've still got 9 bits with this pack, so I will buy them again when I get low. It said not to use these with hammer drill mode engaged, so I followed the recommendation.

I do hvac for my job and usually use tapcons at least once a week and depending on which concrete anchors I get sometimes they come with a bit but u usually use my own that I get from my local hardware store.I wasn't sure what to expect other than these are a better deal than the hardware that charges around a 3rd of this for 1 3/16 bit. I have to say I'm suppowrr impressed by these. It says not to use in an impact or hammer mode but for my first couple of test holes I intuitively put my drill into hammer mode and it did just fine, the bit didn't seem to get dull or impacted and only the blue coating stuff start to come off. I've since just used them in normal drill mode and they are basically just as fast as they are in hammer mode and I'd say they're a but faster in drill mode than the other bits I've used in hammer mode. The super pointy tip makes it easy to start the hole on your mark, and because they're good in drill mode they don't bounce.Drilling through about an inch of concrete took me around 14 seconds with my m18 fuel hammer drill in drill mode with half battery.

The packaging says not to use these with a hammer drill. So I switched my drill into the "normal" mode. The bits work well in various masonry materials. I keep thinking that they would work even better if I could put the drill into the "hammerdrill" mode. I wonder why the manufacturer prohibits this.I really like that these bits have a sharper point that usual, traditionally shaped, masonry bits. They are a lot easier to start exactly where the hole is supposed to be.

I originally got these, for drilling holes in concrete. They can drill holes in concrete, but wear out very quickly. It took me three drill bits to drill four holes completely. It does a lot better in other mediums like wood and brick or ceramic. I haven’t tried them in tile, granite or glass. If you’re buying these for concrete, you may choose them if you just want something cheap that you’re going to use for one job. If you want something that can be used again and again, and is more durable, I would recommend getting a higher quality and more durable drill bit.
