These are way better than they look. They hold a lot of soap and are so cheap I don't mind going through them fairly often.

At first I was disappointed because I thought these were real sponges, not the synthetic stuff, but I started using one, and I liked it. Turns out I use these a lot and they work well and hold up pretty sturdily. Actually quite happy now.

If you're expecting quality sponges that last a long time, these are not them! If you're like me, and all the nagging in the world doesn't get your family to wring out the sponge and put it on the edge of the sink, this is a wonderful deal! Cheap, and tons of them, so it's no big deal when you constantly have to toss them out! They start disintegrating after a week or two anyway!

These are my GH favorite sponges, better than grocery store or Costco. Very durable and have both scrapping side and soft side. You get a lot of value with these, not to mention a cheap price.

The sponge material is -- contrary to the concept of a "sponge" -- not nearly as absorbent as a typical kitchen sponge. In terms of absorbancy, it is more akin to a grout sponge. The abrasive surface works as well as any, and has been reasonable durable. The sponge doesn't have quite have the nice conforming feel of an ordinary sponge when washing dishes, but it works well enough. If you were wiping off a counter, this would not work well since it just pushes liquid ahead of it rather than sopping it up; for washing dishes or doing more heavy duty labor, this works well enough and holds up well enough.

This purchase is the culmination of a long search for a quality dish sponge. Received this pkg of 24 sponges nearly two weeks ago and put one into service immediately. Figured I'd write a review when it wore out. That first sponge is still going strong - no bacteria, no odor, scrubber has not lost any effectiveness, no separation between scrubber and sponge. The search is over!Both hubby and I are gourmet cooks, and we prepare every meal at home, dining out only rarely. This translates to maximum use and wear on a kitchen sponge, rivaled only by commercial use. We were frustrated with every brand we've tried: Stinking after a short period, sponge material falling apart, scrubbers and sponges separating, scrubbers losing effectiveness.Because synthetic sponges are bacteria resistant and don't get stinky, the search began for a synthetic model with a flat scrubber - Those wavy ridged scrubbers are useless. The options were limited, pricey, low quality, falling apart after a short period.Amazon was a last resort, but…Wow!…Are we ever glad we tried the HOMMP No-Scratch Heavy Duty Scrub Sponge. These are the best synthetic scrubber sponges anywhere out there. The package of 24 should last an average family nearly one year. At $15.99, the HOMMP sponges are $.66 each - 38% less than the poor quality equivalents at the grocery store.
