How to Choose the Correct Size?

  • Our products are designed for standard door openings in American homes. Door slab widths are 24, 28, 30, 32, and 36 inches, with corresponding rough opening widths of 26, 30, 32, 34, and 38 inches (2 inches wider than the slab)
  • Please confirm your rough opening and slab widths before ordering. The specified size dimensions refer to slab width and height

The door looks great. Has a solid and heavy feel. Just know that while the hinge pockets are precut on the jamb, they are not on the door slab. The instructions show mounting the hinges on top of the door slab surface with no pockets. While I was tempted to cut pockets to recess the hinges, this door has an MDF core, so I was afraid that once the surface skin was removed, that we would be screwing the hinges into "was-wood" which does not work. Fortunately, this door opens at an angle that no one really sees the surface mount hinges on the inside of the door. So, not the best set up overall, but worked for my application.

added this door to enter our basement from the 1st floor. It looks much better than our former white door.
