I'm always hesitant to buy very low priced parts but this fixed my problem and seems to be working fine. I'll buy another Soo. Just to have as a back up. I live in Florida and it's a necessity to have a portable gen ready to go.

Found a generator in a trash pile and brought it home to see if I could get it going. I got the engine going relatively easy, but it would not output full voltage. I did my diagnostics and determined the AVR was bad. I found this one and it was affordable, so I decided to give it a shot. The part was easy to swap out and fit perfectly in my application. The only problem I had was that the voltage was still not 100% so I had to adjust that on the AVR. Once I got the voltage adjusted, I put it all back together and it has been working fine since. I forgot to do this review, so it has been a little bit and has been used a little bit.

Perfect fit for Champion 3500 (Honda clone)You really need a multimeter though to complete install. First you need to set the meter to Hz and dial the governor screw on the motor to get to about 60-61.5Hz. Then switch to volts AC on the multimeter and dial the Blue potentiometer clockwise on the AVR (the piece being reviewed ) to move voltage up to 120v.You need a very small screwdriver for the potentiometer
