I absolutely love this thing! Every time we are working on a project, I end up needing a nut or bolt and have no idea what size. No more! This will tell you exactly what you need, and it allows me to use my enormous collection of spare nuts and bolts. And, if I don't have what I need I know exactly what to buy! It's also deceptively thick. This is not a thin breakable board but a sturdy piece of aluminum. There is no way you are breaking this thing. If you love projects, home repair, tinkering, electronics then you simply have to have one of these. It's one of my favorite tools already. It makes my life easier!

I live on a ranch 40 miles from town, so I’ve learned never to throw away extra hardware, and like my dad, have collected all kinds of errant nuts and bolts over the years. This unit is well made with a thick aluminum plate and has all the sizes needed in both Metric and SAE. I can set down with a coffee can full of bolts and quickly determine the size and thread pith of each one. There is even a scale on each side of the unit to determine length in each system.I have an older system on a cable, but this plate system is much better to deal with and will continue to use it. If you’ve got those proverbial cans full of misc. hardware, this is the tool to help you sort them.

I don’t know how may times I’ve gone to Home Depot with a bolt or nut and used their thread checker. Then either buy the bolts I need at HD or go home and order the correct bolts from Amazon. Well, now I have my own thread checker right in my garage. The thread checker is made of metal with a metallic red finish and has metric and standard size thread checkers. It has holes in the corners to mount or hang. Very useful item.

While I'm generally pretty good at estimating the size of nuts and bolts, I'm not perfect, so I thought I would give this a try. Excellent choice. This sizer is very well made out of good quality materials. Fit and finish are very good. Very easy to use for nuts, bolts, and drill sizes. Works very well. Highly recommend. 5 stars.

This is such a nice thread checker. I can’t tell you how many times I could have used this in the past, and I’m thrilled to have it now. I checked several bolts, machine screws and nuts and this thing is spot-on. No more guessing when needing a thread size.Obviously not everything is going to fit on this, but 99% of the time you will be in business. An excellent tool for a project person.

I work a lot with nuts and bolts and even at times I tap objects to thread a screw or bolt into. It’s easy to think you have the right screw for something and try to make it work only to find it seems cross threaded when in fact it’s the wrong thread. It’s just easier to be sure from the start that you know for sure what screw or bolt you need and having a thread plate like this one on hand. This thread/ screw plate is like laser cut and engraved and is clean and self explanatory. It is a size that isn’t too big and not so small I can’t find it when I need it. It has the most common sizes I use on it and it has holes to check common drill bit sizes. The male threads provided are long enough to make sure you have the correct nut.In short, for the money, this thread plate should be a great advantage in your tool box and workshop.

This Nut/Bolt Thread Checker is a well made with a good finish and easy to read sizes. It is perfect to help with Bolt/Nut Sizing for 16 Metric and 20 Standard Sizes. It has 19 Drill Gauge holes to help determine the proper drill clearance hole size for different size screws/bolts. If you are like me and don't through away bolts/nuts/screws and have bins/jars and tins of them, this thread checker will take the guesswork out of figuring out course/fine threads and sizes. There are also handy metric and standard rulers on the sides to measure screw/bolt lengths. I did find that the largest 3/4 course nut checker was loose and fixed that with some superglue.

Identifying various threads is not my favorite thing to do. When I'm working on something where I can't find a nut or bolt that fits, I need to know exactly what I'm looking for before I look online or go to the big box stores.I have a thread checker that is mounted on a small, steel cable, but it doesn't have as many thread types as this one and it is much harder to read the markings on it. That said, I ordered this one because it looks very well built, it wall mountable, and has more thread types. The problem I ran into with a table clamp I had was that if I did not have the corresponding stud, I would not have been able to twist it on to see what it was. That was one advantage of the single thread checkers on a cable. (see photos)Other than that, I found the following when using this thread checker:✔ - Large number of threads that it can identify (36).✔ - Very sturdy, with mounting holes on the corners.✔ - Quick diameter ID holes to help guide you to the right thread sizer.✔ - Millimeter and inches rulers for the ultimate compatibility.✔ - Anodized aluminum with clear laser markings for easy identification.X - Poor shipping packaging (bubble envelope) which resulted in bent posts.X - Can only use bolts and nuts, not anything else.Overall, I do like this thread checker. It offers a very wide variety of threads, in SAE and metric, that is easy to mount. It is durable enough that it should last a lifetime.I hope you found this review helpful.
