A couple of the numbers are difficult to read the stamped number (6.7.8 ) not too bad tho for the size

I’ve only used these on aluminum but so far so good. They’re tough and have taken some serious blows without issue. The letters are all still clear, and there isn’t any variation in font size. Over a good purchase. Keep them oiled!

the letters are not clean, they are not consistent. the back oxide coating is really bad. there is no marking on each punch's side saying what letter it is and orientation. being black as well makes it hard to read. you have to keep double checking every time you use one. a good set has the markings of the letters on the side. i don't know about the "hardened" either. usually they are heat treated and then the striking end is tempered and you can visually see the tempered area. i have a nice set from ak garage "36pc 1/8" 3MM Letter & Number Stamp Punch Set Hardened Steel, Metal Wood Leather " and i needed some extras so i got this really quick for a project not thinking how bad they could be.buy something nicer, its worth it.like $50ish bucks, you'll be happy
