It most definitely is not good for finding the centers. Way too sloppy for that. I tried several times and nothing finds center. Equal spacing obviously would be a challenge. Go with picketmaster

Product wasn't good at all each section may give different sizes depending on how far you stretch the tool out.. salt City still has one for 12 points but that's about $200 but it may be worth it He advertises his being fabricated well

It’s no picketmaster… super sloppy, way too much play in the points. It’s not uncommon to see the points differing by more than 1/2”. It fails at what it was designed for.
