It's a decent pendant light. The wood looks nice in person and it throws a good amount of light on the area where it is mounted. Because of the design most of the light goes straight down, but that's generally what you would get this for.I deducted a star because mine has a couple of small quality issues. There are small gaps in the wood at some of the seams which allow light to leak out when it's on. One of the lenses on mine does not sit flush like it should either. It bulges out a bit and is noticeably inconsistent with the other two lenses. Those might be fixable problems, but a five star product wouldn't require that.

The light fixture looks very nice and I like it. But there are some things I am not at all happy with.First, the light fixture is held by the wire that powers the lamps. There seems to be nothing really special about that wire. If it had a steel-braid layer inside, or something that would indicate it was reinforced to hold the weight, I would feel better. But I see nothing in that regard at all. Very small and very flexible (it is both) does not usually indicate very strong. I am guessing at the gauge, but probably 3 wires at 22 gauge each inside. And as you see in the pics, there is no reinforcement at all. Will it stretch and become uneven requiring me to take it down and adjust it...how often? Will the wire break??? Am I ok with those possibilities?...leaning towards NO.Second, the only way to really control this light is via the remote. It you have the light dimmed to a setting you like, then turn the light off at the wall-then back on, it will come back on but at full brightness. It does not have a memory of the last setting if power is lost. This is kind of a pain if you have a 3-way light switch set up for that area. You will still tend to use those wall switches as you enter/leave the room. And who wants to enter a dark room (gonna be kind of hard to find that remote in the dark don't you think). I just do not see the remote being as useful as the wall switch(es). And you still have to use the remote to change the setting back to what you prefer. The room will still be dark and you will still have to find the remote...in the dark so you can turn the light on. And to be fair, I need to say that the light does have a memory of the last setting, but only if power is not lost. If you control it ONLY by the remote, it will remember. But leave that switch on or else it will forget. The light circuit in that room of my home includes 3-way switches that also include a dimmer that is designed for LED lamps. This system has worked well on LED lighting. However, it will not control this light. So all of that is now useless for anything except on/off. And that would be easier to deal with if the light would remember the last setting instead of just going full brightness when the switch is turned back on...but again, it does not.If I could replace the LED driver with one that was wall-dimmer friendly, I would be happier with the function of the light as my existing switches would control it properly. Speaking of the LED driver inside this fixture, it says it is for 180-240 volts AC. If you are in the USA, your lights will most likely be 120 volts AC. So it would seem it is not really the correct driver for our voltage either. While it works (so far), I have no way of knowing if it is actually working properly since its rated voltage is higher than I am supplying without completely rewiring that circuit which brings its own Can-'O-Worms to the party.I really don't want another remote to misplace and hunt anyway. Having a remote is one thing, requiring a remote is totally different. If it came with two remotes, they could possibly serve as the 3-way switching, and I could live with that if I put one at each room entry. That said, it did not even come with a wall holder for the 1 remote, so it is difficult to have it in a designated location that is easy to access when entering the room. Every semi-modern ceiling fan we have that includes a remote has a holder to mount near the door. You would think this would at least deserve a holder as well. And, of course, that does not really matter if there is more than one entry to the room anyway since there is only 1 remote. 50% of the time, you will enter from the direction where the remote is NOT located. By the time you get to the other side, in the dark, to reach the remote, you really don't need the light anymore. It really is a shame because the light fixture itself looks very nice and puts out a nice amount of light. If I could be satisfied with operation, I could install a small black chain from the ceiling to the fixture to satisfy my nervousness concerning the wire allowing it to fall. But unless I can find an LED driver that will work with my existing 3-way switches/LED dimmers to replace the one inside, I don't really think I can be happy with this. It feels like one step forward and 6 steps back with this fixture. Looks and light output being its only advantage and reasons for stars awarded.Unless I decide to put it somewhere other than where I originally intended to install this (somewhere with a single entry location), there is no reason for me to keep this because, as is, I will hate it daily.

This light is accurately represented in the photos and description. It was easy to install, easy to adjust the height and looks very clean, modern and rustic al at the same time - just beautiful. The light is tunable to 3 different colors of light by a remote and has a nice night light feature (that I predominantly use as this is mounted over a basement bar). There is only one "gripe" I have and it is really minor - but bugs me. The bracket you mount to the ceiling is silver. The hanging mount is black. The hanging mount has slots for easy engagement to the pre-installed screws in the ceiling mount - when all is in place, you can see the silver bracket in the slots and it takes an awesome looking light down a notch. Just one of those things that ruins a luxury look. Easy fix - some black paint dabbed onto the silver bits remedied the issue. You can see the slots in the provided photos. Other than that - I love this light and for the price, it's a great item.

I love this new light! I needed to replace the ancient track lighting over my sink and cutting board areas since they were literally crumbling. This was the perfect size and the wood color matched my cabinets. And this sucker is BRIGHT! I wanted to make sure I had something that would be bright enough for this area and I was worried it wouldn't be but I was wrong. Its so bright that I actually dimmed it down a little bit. Installation was easy, and the whole fixture doesn't weigh very much. Light enough that I was able to install it by myself. The instructions are decent but doesn't really tell you how to adjust the height. You can either pull the wires leading down to the light from the other side of the base (inside) or you can also push them from the outside of the base to the inside. I suggest you adjust the height so that it is close to where you want it from the inside BEFORE you install it and then do the final adjustments from the outside a little at a time to get it perfect. One gripe is the remote does not include batteries, cmon! But it works great. Easy to dim/brighten and change color to get it right where you want it. And then it remembers when you turn off the light switch and comes right back to those settings next time you flip the switch on. You can put the remote away until you want to change it again. One other thing is the ground wire inside the fixture is only just barely long enough to connect to the screw on the mounting bracket and still mount the base to the bracket. Connect the very END of the ground wire to the screw when you're installing it, don't connect in the middle somewhere or you won't be able to slide the base onto the bracket.Other than those two gripes, I really love this light! 5 Stars!!
