This item is sized just as described. But, just for note, it is hard, very hard. It's not that flexible, it does bend, but a lot of force is needed to do anything with it. I wanted to use it for a cushion seal, but it take a lot of pressure to compress the rubber in any direction.

I wasn’t really prepared for how heavy and solid this rubber strip is. The roll weighs a full 8 lbs. (3.63Kg) and is, as the descriptions states, “solid rubber.”I wanted to use it to cushion surfaces on a weightlifting spotting rack, so that I could limit the metal-to-metal contact for both wear and noise, and it will work perfectly. It is such and thick and strong product, it is practically overkill. Upon seeing how sturdy this stuff is, I made some feet for my air compressor out of it and this has served to quiet the operation noticeably. I’m going to try some of it under my pool pump motor also, for the same reason.I can see this mounted to a boat dock edge as a rub strip, or to protect car doors from hitting the garage wall. It is thick enough that you can countersink the holes for mounting screws and still have enough material thickness for solid mounting. It does have a typical rubber smell when you open it, but in my experience that will dissipate after a little time. Also, I found that it cuts more easily with a fine-toothed hacksaw than with a box cutter blade, but either will work.

I'm not exactly sure how to identify neoprene. This looks and feels like quality thick solid rubber. I don't see the bubbles in the material that I typically associate with neoprene. But it works very well for my purposes.I use a barndoor track and trolley in the ceiling of my garage to carry a rope block and tackle which I use for unloading things that I cannot carry unaided. The stops at the ends were just bolts which were beginning to bend and damage the trolley. This rubber, inserted before the bolt stops, makes a less abrupt end of travel and absorbs some of the shock loading. I'm sure I will quickly find similar uses around the house. This is quality heavyweight material.

This is not the type of "neoprene rubber" that can koozies and wet suits are made out of. This is tough rubber and seems to be exactly the same as the plow edge that I get from John Deere. This one is 1/2" thick which means that I'll have to go get longer carriage bolts so that they will go through the plow blade, the rubber strip and the metal backer strip. As with the 1/4" strip I reviewed earlier, I'll have to drill some holes in it.I doubt that I will ever order another edge from JD.It could probably also be used as a garage door threshold or a ridge cap for a shed. It's certainly not going to be very useful as a can koozie...

Needed to make some gaskets for 3D printed Pelican-style cases and decided to try this out. Thickness was just right for my purposes, but the material is very stiff and can be difficult to work with - trimming it to the right size took a lot of effort. Once that was done, though, it worked pretty well. Wish it was a bit softer/had a little more give so it would fit into a gasket trench a little easier and squish down when pressed, but that's about my only complaint. Worked better than trying to print TPE gaskets that were never quite thick or sturdy enough. You'll need some fresh utility knife blades to get through it, though, and a lot of patience. You do get a fair amount for the price, though - roll is about softball sized.

I am designing and building a Rail Bike and I will be using this as a layer between the roller assembly and the frame assembly to absorb vibration. For what I can see, this will work just fine.Cheers 🍷

I was under the incorrect assumption this was a squishy neoprene material, instead a roll of the hard solid rubber I received. I have not found a use for this yet since it was not what I expected by the description.
