Reviewing: (¼", ⅜", and ½") Hydraulic Fittings 90 Degree, X" JIC × X" Hose, Single Wire Hydraulic Hose Repair Kit, 10PCS These are nice looking fittings, and they crimp nicely. I haven't had any blow-offs of leaks yet. It's always nice to have a few extra fittings on hand to minimize the down-time when a line blows, and these are priced right to make it worth keeping some in stock.

In our business we have the ability to make our own hoses with an in-house crimper. I have now used a few of these fittings and find them to be reasonably good. There may be (ARE) some applications that require premium grade fittings but for a skidder or farm equipment, these are perfectly fine and the price is right!!!Highly Recommended.

5-star item. Nicely made, Good fit and finish. Note, this is a 1-wire fitting, not a 2-wire. I installed two of these, and they crimped just fine with my standard sized crimp dies, and thread-up great, no leaks, perfect.

Using a gates die this consumable hydraulic fitting worked perfectly for me. These fittings are far more cost effective to have on hand in the shop than the name bramd ones. when a hose blows and you need to make a fast repair to get the equipment going again, you need to have the right size hose and fittimgs on hand. The local hydraulic shop usually charges me about a hundred bucks a piece when i need replacements. Getting my shop set up with a hydraulic hose crimper, hose and fittings is runnings me about $1500 so far for a low cost crimper and a pack of each size fitting i have found on my equipment. These lower cost options will save me in the long run bit for now havingntjem on hand is saving me lots of time and frustration when something goes down on a remote jobsite. The time saced alone in work productivity is worth it to me. Keepimg a stock of many sozes available is critical and having a lower cost option is favorable to me. These seem to be the same quality I see the hydraulic shops in my area use.

Normally, we like to keep the brands together between hoses, fittings, and crimper. For hoses that don't jeopardize safety, we'll make an exception. So far, these have been holding up well with the couple of hoses we've made.

First, these are cost effective - much less than getting them locally. I used these with a manually pumped Chinese high pressure crimper; there are many brands of these that all look like they came from the same factory. The fittings crimped well; make sure you crimp down to size and not over crimp. First, make sure the fitting fits your connection before doing the crimp. I had a mix of JIC 37 and metric connections on my machine; sometimes on the same hose. I guess it depends on where the manufacturer sourced the parts, but just check the fit first. I used 5 of these connectors, and all worked properly with no leaks.

This JIC fitting crimped on just fine using Gates dies. It doesn't leak. It doesn't blow off when I use the chart in my book and a digital caliper to make sure the finished outer diameter is correct. These hydraulic fittings are less expensive than the Gates fittings. I guess that you could use Parker crimp dies or others as long as you make sure the crimp diameter is correct for the hose you are using.
