REMOVE OLD SEALS

  1. Turn off water supply
  2. Press flush pedal and drain water from toilet bowl
  3. Remove pedestal cover
  4. Loosen stainless steel band and remove plastic half clamps that hold china bowl and plastic base together.CAUTION: Do not let china bowl fall off base
  5. Tilt china bowl forward , grasp vacuum breaker attached to back of toilet.and pull it out of toilet. Set toilet bowl aside
  6. Remove both old seals. inspect flush ball for nicks, scratches or mineralbuild-up.Clean or replace as necessary



INSTALL NEW SEALS

  1. Place large plastic disc with THIS SIDE UP on top of thin seal, with raised circleof thin seal protruding up through center of large disc
  2. Place seal and disk assembly on top of flush ball with THIS SIDE UP showing.Align notch on edge of large disc with pin on edge of base
  3. Put china bowl back on toilet base, aligning notch with pin on base, andcentering the bowl outlet over the flush ball. Re-insert vacuum breaker into backof toilet, pushing it all the way into the rubber sealing grommet
  4. Re-install plastic half clamps under loosened steel band, making sure tabsinterlock at center front of toilet. There will be a small gap at rear of toilet
  5. Tighten stainless steel band clamp to a minimum torque of 65 pounds
  6. Reinstall pedestal cover
  7. Turn on water supply

Relatively quick and easy fix to an RV toilet ring seal that has gone bad took me about 15 to 20 minutes to get the toilet off and the ring changed and the toilet back on very easy if it's if this is just a problem if not, it's still not a bad idea to replace these rings every so often so you don't have a leaky toilet in your RV
