Seems spendy but well worth it. The inserts are a little strange but only use as trays. Seems sturdy. Well built. Use in back of work SUV for secure unseen storage. Slightly wider than other models but you pay for the width.

Lightweight, sturdy, shiney and great looking. I'm happy with them and they added tons of good looking storage to my Tacoma. Packaged well and not a single scratch or dent.Glad I got them.

Just received this item today and after unboxing here's my initial impression. For starters, it was packed better than I expected. I figured they would just throw it in a cardboard box and ship it, and I was fully prepared to see scuffs and wear on the outside edges and at least one dented corner. However it arrived in perfect condition. First, they wrapped the whole thing in foam so nothing got scratched. Second, they used large, sturdy hard plastic corner protectors on all 8 corners of the toolbox. So I received it with no dents and no crushed corners. In fact there was evidence of an impact on one corner of the cardboard shipping box and the plastic corner guard was broken into 3 pieces, so there was evidently some mishap with the shipper but the corner protector did its job and the toolbox underneath was unharmed. So +1 point in the seller's favor for good packaging.Another point in the seller's favor: right after placing the order I got a message from the seller which turned out to be good news. I had ordered the box without the inside organizer basket, but that model was apparently out of stock. Instead of cancelling the order or trying to upsell me, the seller automtically sent the upgraded version that included two baskets at no charge. So I haven't even had an issue yet and customer service has been great. The overall build quality seems solid. The paint is complete inside and out. Hardware is all attached securely. Handles feel strong and have good springs to retract them, as does the latch handle. The gas spring for the lid works well - it easily opens the lid smoothly without doing it so fast that the box jump nor falls over. The top of the open box has a 1/2" x 1/2" lip around the edge for stiffness. All of the seams and corners are fully welded, including the corners where the top lips meet, the inside vertical edges, and even the corners of the lid that are often just bent into place and painted on cheaper units. The lid has a thin (1/8"?) gasket about 3/4" wide around the edge that mates with the top of the storage compartment lip. I'm not sure how well it will seal, but at the very least it will prevent metal-on-metal rubbing between the lid & box.Dimensions: I didn't expect this to be exactly the advertised dimensions, but I figured it would be close enough for my purposes which needed a bare minimum of 13"H x 10"W x 36"L for my chainsaw. While it did measure a little less than the advertised dimensions, it works for my purposes. For others who need to know exactly, here's how my unit actually measures internally:• 13.75" inside height from floor to top flat edge of lip• 13.25" inside depth (front-to-back) between lip edges• 14.25" inside depth (front to back) wall to wall (below the lip)• 37" inside width (side-to-side) between lip edges• 38" inside width (side-to-side) wall-to-wall (below the lip)• End handles protrude about 0.25" into the box. Front latch extends about 1.5" max into box.• The gas spring & associated hardware will extend down about 3" across the middle of the box when the lid is closed. The lid is attached with 3 unpainted but mostly hidden hinges. All hardware is attached with rivets except for 2 items: (1) The gas spring is replaceable and attached with nut-and-bolt hardware. The mounting plates for the gas spring are fully welded to the box, not riveted. (2) The latch bolt is a nut & bolt that is adjustable up & down on a mount that it also fully welded. On another positive quality note, there is a 0.75" deep by 3.5" wide x 9.75" long box channel welded in the center of the lid and in the center of the back wall. This is where the spring mounts and latch bolt hardware are all attached, so I don't expect to see these areas of the toolbox get flexed and wear out over time like they would if attached directly to the sheet metal. These two stiffening boxes are spot welded instead of fully welded, but for their purpose this shouldn't be an issue.Overall I'm impressed with the build quality of this box. I'll be using it to store & secure my chainsaw & support equipment that I use for clearing downed trees on the roadway and around my property, so it'll definitely see some rugged use. Will try to update this review once this toolbox has had some time in the field. So far I would recommend this toolbox and would buy it again.

The side handles and locking box are a nice feature. Only issue is the box LID/Top has a gas strut/shock which overpowers the lid to open position, needs a different less powerful strut/shock?

This product is exactly what the seller described and i tried to buy the used version. They had already sold it and didn't hesitate to just send a brand new one instead. Great customer service.
