The tolerance is too high for this to be useful in creating a bed mesh with a 3D printer which is its advertised purpose. Have had to set my tolerance to at lease 0.05 and the bed mesh comes out different every time!

Complete waste of time and Amazon's stellar return policy wants me to drop it off or return it which wastes even more time

I bought this with plans to convert my 3D printer to an inductive probe Z-stopIt sat on my shelf for a while - but finally installed it this past week.Worked great for the first few days. Not even 50 hours of print time (within a week), and it is dead.Guess it was a learning experience... If it had lasted, would have been thrilled with it.

Light would look like it triggered but the voltage readings were wayyyy off. Caused the probe to not work at all. Do not recommend. Went with a uxcell PL-05N and it works flawlessly.

I only had this in use for about 30 hours of printing before the first wire broke inside the harness. After replacing the wire and running another 10 hours, it ceases to trigger. Won't buy again.

My needs are not for 3D printer. Used to sense door latch in locked position.Output pin is LOW when sensor is NOT active and Hi (open) when sensing metal. The sensitivity is as specified 8mm with 6 - 12 volts Vcc. This module does operate at 5 volts however trigger point is 7mm.

Never worked right out of the gate. It just stays closed (TRIGGERED) or opened (open) no matter how I configure the software. These things are not very smart, so it just has to be a bad sensor, but I don't think I can return it because I cut the cord pretty short.DO NOT PURCHASE - it's CRAP!
