This loader is every economical and functional in taking the pain and pressure out of loading the .22 lr ammo into the 16 round Keltec P17 magazines. It works on the same principle as most double stack loaders but, because of the size of the ammo and the magazine, it is not as beefy or as smooth in operation. With that said, once you work a bit to develop the up and down motion of the loader along with the in and back motion of the cartridges, it actually goes smoothly. For under $10, this is a great little tool

Works great with my KelTec P-17 mags. It takes a little bit to get used to the press / slide loading, but it works pretty well. Much easier than trying to manually load 16 rounds by just thumb pressure.

The "finger" that pushes the previous round down bears down on the casing of the .22 round, not the rim. It crimps the casing so it won't feed. Bought another loader from another manufacturer and it doesn't do that. Thought I was saving a few bucks. Wrong again.Bought to ease the loading of my magazine for Kel-Tec P17. The tolerance of these are off and do not work well. Have to push to hard to load rounds and has a tendency to dent rounds. Poor quality and I would NOT recommend.
