There are 2 storage compartments in the lid, meaning you can't have a slightly tall cake. A sheet cake with edge piping may be too tall, has to thin and flat. Item returned. Would have been perfect without those compartments and you can't really see them in the pics unless you look very very closely.

This carrier is listed as being 16.2 inches long. I bought it to carry my sheet cakes in. It’s length is actually about 15 inches long.
