I'm not in either of those business lines, this was strictly for personal use on older model vehicles. It worked as advertised so there's that but I found it cumbersome to use and a pain in the back to prep the car for this job. I only used it on 4 headlights (2 different vehicles) but never used it again. It's not because it did (I did) such a fantastic job of cleaning up the older headlights that I didn't use it again, it's because it didn't last long and I was considering redoing them but found it was easier and a much less arduous a task to simply replace the old headlights with new OEM ones. For the time it takes to clean old, faded out headlamps, I re and re the new ones and it (the car) looks so much better. The new OEM replacements cost less than this 3M Headlight Lens Restoration System, plus I already had the air compressor and other tools so didn't have to go purchase that too.

I have restored headlights on 2 vehicles so far and this has done a great job. The air tools worked with a small compressor but I ended up spending more time waiting on the compressor to catch up than working. On the second vehicle I used a large compressor (80 gallon, 2 stage Ingersoll) with great results.

If you have ever thought about cleaning your head lights then this is your solution. I worked at an automotive dealer as a automotive mechanic and while I was there I got to witness and use the most outstanding headlight cleaning kit out there and this is it.No other kit I have seen has restored headlights to there factory condition like this one. Once I seen it perform it's well done job I had to have one. Not only is it cheaper than new headlights but it saves you time from replacing your headlights. Overall A+ product!

I bought this headlight restoration system with the intention of professionally restoring vehicle headlights. Once I got the 3M kit, I almost wish I hadn't bought it. I had to spend even more money buying all of the stuff that you need that doesn't come in the kit. 3M sells DIY restoration kits for around $30 and those kits come with a sealing agent, the big kit doesn't contain any sealer, you will need to go out and get 320, 400, 600, 1200, 1500, 2000 grit sandpaper to avoid the drastic step up from 1000 to 3000 which I found doesn't do the best job removing fine scratches. The kit comes with 3M rubbing compound and machine polish; but didn't come with the 3rd step which is ultrafine machine polish and the needed polishing pad to get the fine scratches left behind from the machine polish. The cheap Chinese dual action sander and polisher are poorly constructed and I had oil leaking out of every orifice not to mention air. All in all, I had to spend nearly as much filling the gaps to make this "kit" honestly useable that I shouldn't have wasted the time getting this in the first place.

Will check back once I know how long individual components last. Just guess-timating on what I have done so far, I would say an average of $5-$8 per vehicle and I charge $45 - $75 per headlight depending on the size of the lens and how bad they are. Also waiting to see how long the finished result lasts - which will vary depending on driving conditions. Currently I am guaranteeing them for a year.

This is a very nice product and the bag makes it even nicer. I like the quality of the air guns and the pads are really nice and easy to use. You definitely will see a difference in the lenses when done....

I work at a small car dealership and we used the DIY style you can buy in the store and while it worked well the drill mounted style is not ideal. The DA that comes with this does a much, much better job and sands it much better. The buffer spins at a nice speed also. They claim the tools are purpose built for this process. Using this kit correctly results in a very dramatic improvement in both the appearance and functionality of the headlight. The tools are quiet and feel nice in your hand. Very glad we bought the pro kit and will be redoing all of our lights that are even remotely faded. Would definitely recommend buying this!

Unlike the infomercial of wipe some amazing product. This is a value up sell that is quick, easy to train employees on, and you are amazed at foggy headlight restored to like new. Once you realize how many cars come through your shop with dingy headlights and you've tested this on a few cars, really just one you will feel confident in selling the service.

They have changed the Sander and Polisher tools from CP to a cheaper version with the 3m logo on them. The kit itself works ok, but you really should cover the headlights with a clear coat or clear bra to replace the UV protection that is removed when refinishing the headlights.
